1: Dear official. Unfortunately, the pillowcases, sheets and bedding in your room contain mites. That can cause itching. Most of the room was also dusty. For this reason, my wife and I, especially me, experienced extreme itching and redness of the eyes. It was impossible for us to sleep in the hotel in this state. We left the hotel and requested a refund. The hotel official just sent a message that they would attach a copy of the receipt for the stay, even we did not stay at the hotel any day or night. We arrived at around 6 pm and when we went to bed at 9.30-10.00, our body started to itch. Meanwhile, I took a shower to get rid of mites and dust. At around 11:00 we packed our things and left the room. We informed the staff in the lobby of the situation. ---PS: Even not answered!!! 2: (After 10 days) Dear official. I still wait your response that I want my money back which I payed for. Please read the complaint above I wrote you and cancel my stay. As I told, I didn't stay at this hotel any day or night because of the situation we experienced. I kindly request you to respond. ---PS: Still not answered!!! 3: I called the hotel. The one who took responsibility told me we should aşk to change the room! We shouldn't leave the hotel by ourselves! 4: I sent them also the photos which shows the dusty places and dusts in the room. 5: I sent them also the photo of my eyes which became red and vessels in the sclera became visible and thick. They still don't take responsibility. As they said, I should have allergic reaction; but not because of their hotel. ---PS: It is the first hotel I have been in my life!!! [IRONY] 6: All the complaints and comments of the other people stayed at this hotel can be seen below. They prove what I am saying. The response of the hotel for these are all the same. So, location looks good but completely failure and disappointment.

First of all, the location is perfect for visiting our daughter at UF. I won't deny them that. But we truly had a horrible experience with this hotel. We are Hilton Honors members. When we prepaid for the hotel room, we were charged for TWO nights, when we only booked ONE night. When we contacted the hotel about the excess charge they tried to say it was for "incidentals", even though it was over a week away. We asked to speak with a manager and left our info. No one called us about the issue. We called back a couple days later and demanded to speak to the manager. He refunded us for the mistaken charge. Checkout was uneventful. When we got to the room everything looked great. But when we went into the bathroom, we found hair all over the inside of the shower. The towels and shelves were dusty. The mini fridge would not turn on, so we couldn't use it. And the air conditioner could not be adjusted or turned off. The AC was stuck on full blast. The room was 68 degrees the entire time we were there. The breakfast was pretty decent. It is continental. Not a lot of choices, but everything tasted pretty good. They had juice, muffins, coffee, mini omelets, and sausage links. I think they may have has the usual cereal also. Upon checkout, we were charged $16 for valet parking even though we never used valet parking. We parked on the street. We are still waiting to see if the $16 gets placed back on our card. Being a Hilton Honors members, we have stayed at many Hampton Inn locations. Every hotel has its quirks. And things do break down from time to time. But the shear quantity of issues we experienced tells me that it is being mismanaged.

I booked this hotel for my graduation weekend. It is kind a expensive. Nice, clean, and spacious rooms. It was recently renovated. Great downtown location. Beautiful views of downtown Gainesville from the windows. One problem is that they don’t have parking, and parking is not free in the garage. They do have valet service if you prefer that. Expect to pay $20 a day for parking in the garage next to the hotel. Every other hotel in Gainesville has free parking, so I would recommend other hotels because of that. We had two cars and it was a nuisance to park in the garage, walk about 10 minutes through downtown Gainesville, outside. Every time we needed something from the cars, it would take us 10 minutes there and another 10 minutes back. Not ideal. Parking in Gainesville downtown is free on the weekends but it is paid on weekdays.

Stay away from this downtown party location. Three bars across the street. All quiet until 10ish, that’s when the crowd started rolling in, bars fill up, cars park with their trunks open, boom, boom music playing loud, women screaming, bars overflowing on to the sidewalk and it continues until 2-2:30am. Police don’t enforce the noise ordinance. At 2:03am the police pull up and run their lights and siren to disperse the crowds. ||||Complained to the front desk and all they did was offer us is ear plugs. (They even texted the ear plug offer to me). Two nights in a row, laying in bed on the third floor I can hear the music and boom boom vibration. The staff can care less. ||||Asked for the desk manager and that person was not available. Asked for the general manager and that person was not available. ||||Asked for the phone number and address of the person/company that owned this location and they could not give it to me.||||Said they would call me. It’s been three hours, crickets… I call back, but I did receive an email with my bill charging me for two nights and parking.||||At breakfast the person responsible for food prep and such was no where to be found with 1.25 hours left before the close up. No butter, dirty counters and no waffle batter. After going downstairs to ask for assistance the front desk girl had to come up look for her. When she did show up she was in no hurry to get the plate of food up of fill up the waffle batter. Everyone is in slow mode.||||Their satisfaction guarantee is a false promise, and false advertising because the don’t care, are none responsive, and pass the blame. In writing the staff member said I should have checked their reviews before booking this location more that 7 months ago along with the ear plug offer. Only shows they are aware of the problem, refused to disclose this on their website and does not have Gainesville PD enforce the...

Here it is the second night in a row and we are being vibrated out of our beds by loud music and the deep beat of music. Our complaint landed in def ears as they said we could come down and they could give us ear plugs. We have to be up by 8am, Bad location, poor service, & Disappointing stay at a Hilton Brand hotel. They should have warned us. Not to mention possible homeless in the parking garage curled up in the corner. You can’t tell me they don’t have some sort of noise ordinance. I just read other post and the hotels says their hands are tied, total BS. I’ll be requesting a refund through Hilton. Hilton/Hampton Inn needs to pulled their branding contract with this location. It clearly does not fit their standards for customer care and services.Ear plugs! People wouldn’t believe me unless I have that in writing, but guess what I do!!!! I can’t believe they put it in writing in a text to me.

  • Follow up: I don’t appreciate the cut and paste non response from the “Owner/General manager” of this Hampton Inn. They refuse to honor their “Hampton 100% guarantee”. Upon check out the manager was not available as well as the general manager. I asked for the address and phone of the owner or company of this location and they were not able to provide that information. They clearly have a problem at this location. And I’m not even complaining about the shower head that does not work or having to hunt down the attendant of the breakfast area as thy were out of waffle batter, no butter and no available microwave to heat up the cold eggs, sausage and potatoes. No care or thought in the preparation of the food. The front desk girl had to go hunt down the attendant. And even after she arrived she was in no hurry to resolve the issues or remotely do her job. She just started wiping down the counters vs address the issues. I had to ask her to stock the batter and heat...
