First, have been insulted by owner (Russian women with vulgar make up) who told me to wait quietly while 20 people in line and I ask for help to get additional stuff on the floor. She doesn't want hear from me what to do as she expressed her feelings! I wasn't able to purchased caviar, another employee show up and started helping others people in line, but Ignored me, as he was probably instructed by the owner. I was just trying to get small can of red caviar for new year. However, I sent a friend to the store next week and obtained the desired caviar. I enjoy make sandwiches with caviar and I try one and being clumsy dropped few red tiny balls on my blue house shoes. Well, not a big deal, 24 later the color from my shoes was gone. Read moreTaste of Europe is such a fun experience! From the candy to the fresh made food to the various drinks, I never run out of the things to try and have yet to be disappointed. I always buy the white bubble chocolate (light, melts in your mouth), the fruit drops (hard candies in different flavors), khachapuris (cheese pastries), chicken kiev (stuffed chicken patties), and various other pastries filled with meat. I also enjoy the various sodas they have from a mojito flavor to a pear flavor, they are quite different than American sodas and really delicious. I have found everything to taste wonderful so far and the different ready made food is a great easy lunch to heat up in the oven/toaster oven! If you are a tea person, they have a great selection, I discovered a lemon and lime tea and a mango tea that I have been enjoying immensely. Also, the people that work there are super nice and informative and are...
Read moreMy kid was at birthday party next door at the Laser Tag place, so decided to check out Taste of Europe. Was thinking I’d find Swiss chocolates, French cookies, and Italian pastas, so I was quite surprised to find central and Eastern European offerings instead. Didn’t think I’d buy anything, until I came across the beer section. OMG!!! Those Eastern European beers you only read about in beer magazines were right in front of me. Picked up a smoked Ukrainian Pilsner and a Czech Honey Lager. There were so many great looking beers, and all fairly priced. If you’re looking for a hidden beer gem in Montgomery County, check out Taste of Europe. Fantastic beer selection, friendly people, and if Eastern European food and wine is your thing, then Taste of Europe has...
