What a great place for a bluegrass show. Located downtown Galax, VA. We had great seats down front. Will definitely be back for more entertainment since it was only a 3 hour drive from home. Friendly staff. This was my second time here and looking forward to seeing more shows at the Rex.

Loved every second we spent at the Rex this weekend. Great place to see/hear some great bluegrass. The sound was amazing, the staff made us feel like VIP's, and the theater itself is the cutest old theater you've ever seen.

Loves the venue and the show. The VIP seating has little to be desired because the chairs are very uncomfortable. I will make a trip back up there at some point but will choose the theater seats instead.

Old theatre used mostly for Music events. Home of Blue Ridge Backroads broadcast on WBRF fm in Galax ,Virginia. Live performances on Most Friday night. Great place to see old time mountain music and Bluegrass. Nominal donation is very inexpensive. Run primarily by volunteers. Free monthly movie events. Occasional special events. Just saw Arsenic and Old Lace at the Rex Theater in Galax. While the adult actors were fantastic, I must give credit to the three youngest performers in the play. They were AWESOME! Especially due to the fact that all three young men were acting in voices foreign to their own!...
