Washburne House State Historic Site — Attraction in Galena

My family and I had a wonderful time touring this beautiful home and hearing the stories of the Washburne family as well as stories about President Grant and even President Lincoln in relationship to the Washburnes. The guides gave an excellent tour and had so much interesting information. The art work and furnishings (including a view of the original wall paper) really give you a sense of the history.
