Clean, historical. Plenty of space between displays to have a leisurely stroll in between stops. Very close (across the river) to downtown and also close to public parking that's not in a super busy area. The plaques for some displays need to be fixed/ replaced though, as some are very difficult to read through the shattered plastic. It's a very impressive display of relics and memorials, though. They have various cannons throughout the park, but most of the informational signs by them were damaged or difficulty to read due to being weathered or damaged (see pics). The fountain near the center of the park was very large and ornate, but had only about a trickle of waterflow. Read moreThis is a park right across the river from downtown Galena. You can get there via bridge over the river - or there's parking on the eastern side. There's a hill from the main entrance on the east side of the river to get to the top - with great views of downtown Galena. This is such a nice park. There are paved walkways that take you through the park There are a number of benches various views.
