Galveston Go Karts And Fun Center — Attraction in Galveston

If I could give 0 stars I would. On Tuesday 8/4 in the afternoon I took my family here while on vacation thinking it would be a fun activity. When we arrived all the arcade machines were shut down do to covid, understandably, even though they are advertised as open. We proceeded to go to the counter to see what they did have open. The lady behind the counter looked as though she was listening to our questions but instead of answering us verbally she proceeded to point to a menu consisting of go-cart rides. Then she starts rambling and I realized she was actually on a phone call using her ear buds rather then listening to us at all. When I asked her a question about the go-carts she rolled her eyes and pointed at the menu again and continues her conversation with whoever is on her ear buds. After about 3 minutes of this we decided not to spend out hard earned vacation money on a place that doesn't even take the time to take care of their customers. Such a horrible experience. Maybe let the customer in front of you know your on a phone call and will be right with them rather than wasting my time with your attitude. If I could give this place 0 stars I would! We were on the island for my daughters sweet 16 celebration and this place was next door to where we were staying. My daughter asked to go so I jumped on the website looked at the hours and what all they had to do. The hours stated on the website stated they were their covid hours. When we arrived there was a large group of people standing at the door because the door was locked, after a few minutes they were let in. We jumped out of the car and went to the door at it was locked. We called the number and the very rude lady on the phone asked what all we were wanting to do so I told her go carts and ax throwing for sure and maybe more. She very rudely told me that they closed at 9 ( it was. It yet 9) I told her I went to the website and it says 10 and the door sign also said 10. Her response was “we don’t update our website” funny, I guess you don’t update your door sign either! They literally just let the other group in but not us! Lady was so rude too! Our visit to Galveston Go Karts and Fun Center was an absolute blast! We decided to rent go karts for myself, my wife, and our granddaughter, and it turned out to be an exhilarating experience. Racing around the track provided endless excitement and thrills for all of us.

In addition to the go karts, we were pleasantly surprised to find a variety of other activities available at the center. While we didn't have the chance to try them this time, we were intrigued by the option of playing video games and participating in hatchet throwing. These activities added an extra layer of excitement to the already fun-filled atmosphere, and we're definitely looking forward to trying them out on our next visit.
