The owner of this place has an amazing collection of merchandise but even the outstanding material items for sale in this shop cannot even come close to making up for the deception that is used to swindle a person that goes here to sell collectibles. I was told that the shop uses ebay prices of items recently sold online on the ebay marketplace to determine what they will offer for merchandise. I drove 5 hours with a car load of things I've collected my entire life to let this shop purchase all of it to add to their inventory. Hundreds of magic the gathering cards, over 1100 hot wheels still in original packaging including some treasure hunts multiple complete special edition sets and the like.. no base mundane hot wheels. Also at least 50 different nascar collectibles from Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. All also new in original packaging. Several rare collectible transformers, dozens of other unopened nascar collectibles abd I spent nearly 12 hours on ebay pricing nearly everything I took here. I arrived and we spent 3 days down there fishing because the guy couldn't meet me until 3 days after we arrived despite being told to show up 3 days earlier. By the time I get to see him I have around 100 dollars left to my name and very little fuel left in our vehicle. He didn't even look up a single item online. He asked me what I wanted for all of it... mind you I had just brought 5 or 6 big cardboard boxes full of stuff in his door and I told him I needed 1000 dollars. I pri Ed everything based on the lowest amount that item had sold for over the previous 3 to 4 months on eBay and it added up to well over 4000 dollars. The guys counter offer was 250 dollars! I was stuck down there at this point with my teenage son. When I tried to explain the value of the items I brought him he made every excuse why mine... just mine weren't worth as much as the exact same ones I priced online and basically dismissed me very rudely and started blathering away to some guy about the posters all over the walls. Which. Y the way I could t even get him to throw one in on the total ripoff of a trade I was forced to make. This was a collection that i had been building for the good part of 30 years. I needed what it was worth and what I asked for was only 25% of what THE LOWEST RECENT SELLING PRICE was. Unbelievable how absent a conscience is from the owner of this shop. I don't hate much of anything but I hate this place. Worst person I've ever made the mistake of doing...
Read moreHello, so today April 1st 2025 I went in to the store and what caught my eye was a Pokemon card named Charizard EX Mega evolutions 69/106 and it was retailed for $85 so plus tax came out to $95 but I further inspected the card AFTER purchase and noticed something off. It was a fake card that they had sold me. I was stunned because I thought it was too good to be true. I went on the good old google research and Reddit posting for this card and I couldn’t believe that it was a fake card. So as anyone would I went back for the store within 45 minutes from original purchase in the SAME day and asked for a refund. Insisted that he had someone check out the card and claims that they would have labeled it fake if it was fake. Myself I have been collecting Pokemon cards for sometime now and I know the cues when a card could be fake. But this was very done poorly from the stores end when I asked for e refund. Yes I should have inspected it more before purchasing but at the same time it was $85 so of course I thought it was real for that price. I’m very disappointed from this store and will NEVER be going back for anything there because in the end, you just don’t know what’s real and what’s not. (The last photo in this thread is the authentic card that I...
Read more(I'm reposting this since apparently when I made it a month or so ago I posted it on the page of the wrong branch, oops!)
I came here during a semi-recent labor day weekend sale, the selection was great and staff was super friendly. Especially this one lady (I did not catch her name) but she was super considerate in holding my large amount of goods I was potentially going to buy so I could free up my hands to grab more stuff and then browse other items. She was also very helpful in clarifying the sale items and their discounts.
I was in the area on unrelated business, as I'm actually closer to another branch but if I'm on Galveston Island again you bet I will stop here at least for a quick browse if...
