Well let me tell you if you go, this place was in a great spot and the staff, mainly Oscar was so amazing. We got there late on Saturday night he told us what places were open for food and drinks and when they closed. He knew the area and was just so kind hearted great customer service. When we got back from eating he was gone and someone else was there. we went to our room and got locked in the dead bolt was broken on the door and the latch was on we couldn't get out and no one could get in. I called the desk and told the gentleman he said ok we will have maintenance look at it in the morning I said NO if there is a fire we can't get out and we can't close the door. He came up and worked with it for a while and finally got it open but we couldn't dead bolt the door cause the lock was totally broken. The next morning we went to check out and Oscar was at the desk I was shocked to see him he was there so late, he said he was called in so he came to work. Now this young man is, young has a fantastic attitude and sets the bar for customer service. Wow who ever the owners are you have a class act and a asset to your company with Oscar. We enjoyed talking to him he was such a great you g person. Because of him we will book again with you . Well done

I was very disappointed during our stay with my family. I should've seen the warning signs when the person at the front desk was coughing up a storm and never once appeared to use hand sanitizer or anything. And the fridge in our room had partially emptied bottles of alcohol in it from the previous guests. And the garbage disposal was full of gunk and not working, so the sink wouldn't drain and it smelled terrible. And after room service came they never provided more soap, even though the last one was gone. And the front desk attendant guy told us they had laundry facilities, so we purchased detergent from them, only to find out that their washers were out of commission, which they didn't tell us that. And the giant trash bin was left in the lobby by the cleaning crew for two days in front of our floor's elevator. The cabinet door in our room had a broken hinge and was falling off. One of the room's ceiling bulbs was burned out. There's a creepy gap in the corner in the bathroom, like they never finished it. You can't even make this stuff up. I love Galveston, but not this place. I won't stay here again.

This place is NOT worth the $300. We checked in and the clerk was unprofessional, cussing and had a big hickey and was talking loudly on his personal phone when we walked in. We have a handicap room because my mom just had knee surgery and they advertise chairs in the shower but there wasn’t one and when I called the front desk they said they don’t have any. The toilet is not handicap either. There were bugs in the bathroom. The lighting is dim and it’s hard to see. The coffee maker is filthy and there was gum on the tray that none of us put there. There were stains on the table. Waking up I noticed a stain on the sheets that looks like dried blood. The side door’s key swipe is broken so anyone can pull it open and walk in and our room is the first door when you enter so it didn’t feel safe. The closet is small and out of place. This place is filthy and totally not worth anything near what we had to pay.

The actual address says Seawall Blvd but, do not be fooled this hotel sits off of Stewart Rd. which is what you need to tell any delivery drivers or guests. This also effects the “ocean” view you think your getting! You may be able to see parts of the ocean through other bldg from certain rooms but, it is not a clear view. The first room we had I was literally being attacked by roaches. The 2nd room had some roaches but, at least they weren’t flying into my hair and running up my legs. There are no coffee pots in the rooms and the refrigerator has no freezer. The furniture paint and decor is all mismatched and things like the very outdated alarm clock is caked with dirt. They only have showers, no bathtubs if you have kids. Both of our rooms were right by the elevator so we heard the ding ding ding all night long. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times and none of these things were an issue but this time I couldn’t sleep due to the 24/7 elevator dings, door slamming from other rooms, children running up and down the halls, I even witnessed a few domestic fights and one family was tackling and wrestling with their kids in the hallway in front of our door, and I swear the ppl above us slept all day and then paced, moved heavy furniture around, and dropped bowling balls allll night long. The cleaning crew is loud and they start at around 8 to 9am instead of at checkout time which is 11am. Check in is 3pm. They have free wifi but it is the weakest slowest most irritating wifi I’ve ever experienced so I went thru my data on my phone plan three times. They have free breakfast but it’s not great and get there when it starts at 6:30am instead of towards closing at 9:30am or you will be fighting to even get a biscuit (they don’t set them out till around 7am to 8am) or a spoon. The eggs are powdered eggs and the gravy for the biscuits tastes weird and made my friend sick. They also offer crushed bagels, danishes if you can get there before they are gone, mini muffins that no one ever eats, cream cheese (plain only) that sits out all morning, 4 kinds of stale cereal, milk (if they haven’t run out and sometimes they just sit the jug of milk out on the counter all morning and it will be hot), make your own waffles machines (pray they havent run out of reg syrup and there’s only two machines so you will be waiting in line if you don’t get there early enough), bananas (that are black), oranges (that are still yellow) packets of oatmeal sometimes, apple & orange juice (if they have refilled it), and my fave was the yogurt w/ your choice off granola, raisins, and brown sugar, good luck with there actually being any yogurt or granola though and if you ask them (when and if they come out of the back) to refill it they get an attitude and take their sweet time (I waited an hour one day for yogurt, granola, and coffee). The only good thing I can really say is for the cleaning employees…well the lady we had anyways (the other cleaning lady was rude like you were bothering her)…our reg lady was polite, she was always willing to clean the room or give you clean sheets, towels, tp, shampoo, conditioner, soap, trash bags, etc etc. Oh and there aren’t ice machines on every floor and you can’t do your laundry either plus they no longer have irons or ironing boards or dirty laundry bags in the rooms anymore. And, as if this isn’t a long enough review the sewer stench coming out of the sink and shower drains is horrible I used wash rags to plug them up to hold the smell off some and sprayed all of my body spray, deodorant, and perfume down them and in the room also. The remotes for the tv’s do not work even if you buy new batteries to put in them. The tv’s are small and are not smart tv’s. Oh I almost forgot we had to get new key cards four times because they would just stop working....

This place ONLY got a 4 because of Wendy!!

My husband and I recently got married before COVID and couldn’t take a honeymoon. So why not a quick relaxing weekend alone down the state to the nearest beach. Well until we met Wendy, there was NOTHING relaxing or pleasant about our “honeymoon”.

At check in the young lady was rude. After a 4 hour drive We were was ready to get into the king suite with the balcony over looking an ocean view that we requested and paid for already. We are told because it was 11pm we had to be put in a Queen on the first floor (no ocean view). I didn’t care to argue so I asked the young lady the price difference that will be refunded to my card. The young lady responded that there wasn’t one because the rooms are priced the same. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. No ma’am they are not. Go to your website and book a room. The more “leisure accommodations” you have in a room means more a night.

Not at all happy with my check in experience, we settle in and try to salvage the night. At roughly 6:30am we are yanked out of our slumber because our room is flooding. Water was coming from the ceiling everywhere. The young lady was still on her shift and took her time getting to our room when we rushed down the hall to inform her of the situation. By this point it was far too late for our bags and we had items ruined due to water damage. We were moved into another room by 8. But as we walked all you could see in there was a giant roach dead on the table. We had enough.

I had every intention of demanding a refund and leaving immediately. We wanted relaxation and peace to enjoy a happy beginning but we got nothing close to that. This is where out savior Wendy comes in. When I asked for a manager I was informed there wasn’t one. Matters where handled between Head of housekeeping (young lady from check in) and Wendy until a manger was hired.

Wendy swiftly fixed everything. Her attitude was respectful and she was the only person who helped us out. Wendy upgraded the room, gave a full refund, and was extremely upset by how we were treated. Her communication with us for the rest of our stay was beyond the call of duty. After my experience with the two young ladies it was very clear to see who needed to be...

Not impressed at all! My wife stayed here previously and doesnt remember it being less than pleasant.

There was only 1 person working the front so it took a little while to get checked in. While my wife was checking in, the couple that checked in before her came back down because they were given a room that was already occupied. They actually walked in on the occupants.

When we finally get to the room we find that the door doesnt open all the way due to the flooring being uneven. It had to be pushed with significant force and scraped the floor pretty hard.

The bathroom entry is right next to the door and had flooring issues too. The tiles were cracked, loose and coming up when stepped on. I actually pinched my foot walking in there once. And its definitely a hazard for our 3 year old.

The luggage car was on its last leg and as I was bring our things up, people were coming in from the pool through the lobby into the elevator dripping water everywhere. A Days Inn employee actually entered the elevator with them and didnt say anything. I got the same elevator next and there were puddles in the elevator when I got in.

We were on the 3rd floor and guess what? No ice machine. They are on the 2nd and 4th. There was a soda machine but it was out of order.

Other than that the beds were decent, shower(no tub) was hot. Had microwave(didnt use), small fridge(not very cold).

Oh...its not technically on Seawall Blvd even though the address states that. They have a sign there but you have to drive through the Best Western lot to het to it. There is an entrance on the Stewart Road side. So if you want to walk to the beach, its about 500 yards and there is a big incline in the Best Western lot you have to go up.

We tried to save a little money and trust some of the reviews but we cancelled day 2 and are transferring to Moody Gardens.

Room 310 on 7/23/18 if...
