I could not believe what I had seen and heard with my own eyes and ears last night at the store. apparent Racism and bigotry against the disabled and blacks, and I am a white conservative and was disgusted. Mocking a disabled young white person, Bringing the mother to near tears. made her a defective key . Until her husband came in to see what the delay was and told her to just leave. Hiding from another black customer to whom it appears he had purposely made defective keys. I have cut keys and the two blanks were cut completely different. I leaned over the rear counter and could see the employee hiding snickering at me. And then Another older man behind the cash counter asking me to leave and not return when I tried to ask to speak to a manager to complain to him about the other man at the service counter. He asked me what the problem was in public with other customers around . And said well of course he won't want to help you. When I said I don't want that employees help. Then he asked me to leave. So I abandoned my cart and items said in my normal voice "you just lost two customers" and headed for the door and he said Thank you for your past patronage and don't come back loud for everyone to hear. Read moreI just left the store and am very disappointed. The total on the register was wrong. Somewhere the numbers weren’t calculating correctly. The sweet cashier called over assistance and a young man came to assist. He insisted the total was correct and he was too busy trying to prove me wrong that he did not catch the error. Then he called an older gentlemen to take a look and the joker just glanced at the screen and said, “Yeah, The screen is correct” and left. He didn’t even acknowledge me. Extremely poor customer service. When they all left I took a closer look with the cashier and come to find out an item was scanned twice. That is why my total never matched theirs. Next time stop trying to prove the customer wrong so hard and actually take time to see where is the error. In addition all of this was done with me being calm. I was not screaming or making a fuss. Read moreToday I needed a unique lightbulb for an old Christmas decoration. I knew that the 2 hardware stores closest to me would not have it, much less have anybody to assist. I went online an found that Lowe's and Home Depot do not even have it in their database and that it would be at least 5 days with Amazon. I tried the ACE website with low expectations. This store supposedly had it in stock. I called the store to confirm and a nice gentleman said that they did. He had the cashier hold if for me and even cautioned me that their credit card system was down today. Many retail workers would not have been so thoughtful. To further enhance the experience, the price was even lower than Amazon. It would be great if they took over one of the hardware stores closer to me. Too often I end up getting items from Amazon because they are not readily available. I'm going to more frequently check ACE in Garfield Heights before I make that conclusion...
