I genuinely enjoyed the overall experience at Hapik—the atmosphere was fun, and the equipment was great. However, I was very disappointed with the way billing was handled, and I strongly feel that if I hadn’t spoken up, I would have been overcharged by more than $100.
The issue arose when I was charged for additional children over the age of 4. However, four of the extra children in our group were under 4 years old, which should have been reflected in the pricing. This information was clearly listed, as all birthdays were provided for each participant. Despite this, the front desk staff initially included those four children in the higher-priced category. When I questioned the charge, the front desk lady was downright rude and seemed put off by my inquiry rather than addressing the mistake professionally. If I hadn’t carefully reviewed the charges, I would have unknowingly overpaid by $120.
What concerns me most is that this mistake was not a minor oversight—it was a significant overcharge that could have easily gone unnoticed. The lack of accountability and poor customer service made the situation even more frustrating.
To make matters worse, the food was disappointing. The pizzas were low quality, thin, and severely overpriced at $24 per large pizza. However, if you bring your own food, there is a chrage of $40. For what we paid, I expected much better. It felt like yet another way Hapik was trying to take advantage of customers.
I strongly urge anyone booking an event at Hapik to double-check their charges to ensure they are not being unfairly overcharged. Between the billing issues, poor customer service, and overpriced, low-quality food, I cannot recommend Hapik...
Read moreThis place is really fun. Traditional rock climbing can be pretty difficult and usually requires someone at the bottom to anchor the rope, but this place allows you to solo climb up a variety of different types of walls by hooking yourself in and out of a weighted pulley system. There are a ton of different walls to climb, and each wall has different shapes of handholds, and levels of difficulty you can take on based on using certain colors and specific hand holds only, which gets pretty tough even for decently athletic adults. But the level of difficulty also gets extremely low, some of the walls are basically ladders you can climb up, and everything in between. There's also a pretty cool miniature ropes course in the middle of the facility, with two levels, the second level being higher and a bit more difficult but really fun. There are also a couple of free-standing structures with ropes you can hook into which presents a little bit different challenge. I wouldn't hesitate to say this place is suited for all ages, I'm 32 and had a pretty good time in here, but there were also 4 year olds having fun climbing up stuff even if they aren't going all the way to the top. I think the price is reasonable, I think it's $20 for an all-day pass, so you could even leave and come back later the same day if you wanted to. Even though you're hooking yourself in and out of the rope lines, it's pretty foolproof and I did not feel unsafe at any point. I'd...
Read moreWe hosted a party at Hapik in the afternoon of September 10th. Within one hour of the start of the party, one of the kids fell from a height of 10 to 15 feet due to their harness malfunctioning. When asked, the staff shared that nobody currently working had first aid training of ANY kind and ultimately seemed totally unprepared to respond to such an event. After parents told them to call 911, the staff continued to let others climb while the injured child was still screaming in pain on the floor and unable to move. After the child was moved to an ambulance by the paramedics in a stretcher, the staff were seen joking and laughing as they messed with the faulty equipment on the floor of the climbing gym area. They then began readmitting people less than one hour of the fall. The staff would not give me any way to contact the manager in charge, only saying the manager would call me at a later date (who was not physically present at the location and not due to return until Tuesday afternoon). Staff removed their name tags and refused to answer simple question about what next steps would be. I am sharing this because this was a horrific event that was not met with the urgency expected at such a facility. We would strongly urge against ever visiting Hapik as we are unclear how they could have properly checked (nor did we we see them check) the remaining harness equipment...
