Rent-A-Center — Attraction in Garner

If I could give this location specifically 0 stars, that's what they deserve. They are hands down, the most unprofessional people I have ever done business with and when you speak with them, they are borderline abusive. Unfortunately I had to utilize this company while I was down on my luck and did not have the funds to purchase in full. I had set up an automatic payment every other week and miraculously, despite have more than enough money in my account, my payment never was paid on the day that it was supposed to come out. I spoke to my bank to see if it was a problem on their end and they said it was not. With payments not coming out due to their negligence, I had late fees and ended up paying over $600 in tacked on fees over the purchase price of my item. They call you numerous times per day and leave very nasty messages, show up at your home repeatedly. I finally paid my item off today and while I was on the phone with their representative, I was also logged into the site looking at the payout amount and what he was asking for was literally double what the payout actually was. Their store made an error with a promotional coupon and they refused to honor it, despite it being their error and the fact that it was still before the expiration date.

This location usually has perfect service, but today the young lady that’s working and picking up the phone on Thursday, June 8, 2022, was very rude. I miss them for coming to pick up my item that I was not happy with and she let me know that gas was too high for them to come and for me not to be home. I thought that was very unnecessary everyone knows that gas is high inflation is up, I did not need a reminder. Today is Wednesday and I have been waiting for them to pick up this item since Monday the communication has been very bad with this situation, but for her to be rude just made me get up here to do a review for future renters/Buyers.

This place is a complete and udder rip off, not only that they would call 10 times a day to remind you your bill is due, and god for bid you didn’t answer the phone because you’re busy or working they show up at your doorstep. Payed on a couch and the price always seemed to stay the same, so finally told them to take it back thinking that we would be able to keep the coffee table and end stands that were only $150 but we’re told we had to send those back too even though they SHOULD Have been paid for.
