I don’t want anyone to be scared due to my review! I am probably one in a million of cases that this happens to..let me start off by saying that the spa aspect was amazing!! No complaints on that end, massage chairs for my pedicure were awesome, people are friendly and accommodating, and the free 2 min massage from the guy was great. However, since it was my first time here I was a little lost and got a pedicure with regular color instead of gel which is what I paid for and the lady that took care of me did not ask or correct me which is fine, she probably assumed I knew. When we got to nails I was very rushed by the lady because she had an appointment later on that she didn’t want to be late for which I respect, just don’t take me in if you’re in a rush because she did not shape my nails well nor measured them, they’re very uneven and different lengths and even though I have OCD I managed to get over that because I didn’t ask for it (I’m shy and don’t like telling people how to do their job). HERE is the actual bad part.. the lady cut the hanging skin around my fingernails and I didn’t realize until I got home that she actually made three fingers bleed on the sides, later that day I started feeling pain and noticed my fingers were swollen and infected :/ I spent all of Christmas crying in pain and not being able to wrap presents/touch anything lol but today almost a week later my fingers are almost back to normal and not in as much pain as before. Again, I don’t want anyone to be afraid of coming to this place because it really was great, im just writing this to let the owner know of some faults here and there.

I came in the end of May for a polish change because I had gotten a pedicure two weeks prior to that before I went away on vacation. Yesterday my left pinky toe was all swollen and red and it hurts really bad so I have to go to the urgent care tomorrow. My daughter told me to takeoff the polish tonight on my toe so I did that and she noticed there’s a fungal infection as you can see in the picture I’m posting it looks like a blue color. I am very disappointed because I have been going to Angel Tips for quite a long time and I’m very satisfied with their services. So how is it that I get a fungal infection on my toe? My daughter suggested maybe after they clipped my toes for the pedicure they used contaminated nail polish from a prior customer that may have had a fungal infection? I see they sanitize their instruments, so I’m not really sure how this happened? But I’m hoping they do better to sanitize all the instruments a little bit better because I don’t like going anywhere else I’m happy with Rosa, who does my nails and pedicure.

I tried Angel Tips Nail Salon in Garwood, NJ after the one I was going to for 5 years changed management and the service went down hill. Angel Tips Nail salon was fantastic! I was greeted at the door with smiling faces, taken for my appointment with no wait time! The spa pedicure was nice and relaxing and the gel manicure came out great! I showed the nail tech, a picture of the design I wanted and she executed it beautifully. The surprise was the free massage you get while getting your nails done! I even extended it for another 10 minutes and the price was well worth it. I didn’t feel rushed at all yet I was done in less than 2 hours which was a nice perk. A wonderful, relaxing experience with a great outcome. I’ve been getting compliments on my nails all day. I will definitely be back! Update: I’ve been going to Angel tips for a year now and every time the gel manicure is great and lasts a very long Time without chipping. So far the best nail salon out of the many I’ve tried. The free back massages are a welcome bonus!

This was my 2nd visit and it was before even 2 weeks of my initial visit because 3 of my nails were already broken. I mentioned to the person at the front that I needed a few layers of dip powder to strengthen & protect my nails so that it wouldn’t happen again. They put me with someone who was being trained and brand new instead of giving me someone who could take good care of me and ensure that I come back. This isn’t really a good business practice or a great way to get & keep new clients. I love the massage idea and the place is clean but if I can’t get a good manicure then what’s the point? I’m a bit disappointed and have looked through the reviews to see if there’s any specific nail tech that is highly recommended but I can’t find anything. 😕 I really want to like this place because it would be so convenient! Not sure if I’ll give it a 3rd try… That was my initial visit and I’ve been there 4 times since because I found Karla who is great but more recently I’ve learned that you can’t schedule online or via text because it turns out that they don’t actually give you your choice of technicians & this week Lin did my nails. She was rude and rough, pulling my hands, twisting my fingers, & hurting my nail beds with the file. She rushed through and did a terrible job and just made me feel like she was annoyed to have to do my nails and I even brought her another client (my daughter). Two days later my nail broke so I reached out to have Karla fix my nails but whoever answered my text gave me misinformation AGAIN so when I come to the salon for my appointment it turns out that she’s not available again. So now the owner comes to the front to find out what’s going on and explains that I need to make appointments 2 weeks in advance & that I can’t have them fixed today by Karla but that someone can fix the broken nail, no apology for the misunderstanding on their part. Customer service is just NOT a priority...

I’ve been going to this salon now for a few months and I really liked it. Yesterday I went in and to get an SNS manicure and a regular pedicure. I asked the lady if I could have my hands and feet be the same color green, she struggled to find same color I initially picked in the powder and polish. I then told her I would be happy to pick a new color so they would match since I saw her struggling. I went with a new color, she grabbed the matching power and polish and started my pedicure. Once my pedicure was done, I was guided to the manicure section to get my SNS manicure. A different lady was doing my manicure and when she started I realized that the color was a completely different shade of green than what was on my toes. After a few minutes of mentally debating whether or not I should speak up, I kindly asked the lady doing my manicure if I could get a polish change on my toes so the color would match my nails, to which she said no problem. While she’s wrapping up my manicure, she has some of the other employees trying to find the matching green color for my feet. They were running around the salon pulling every color off the selves from turquoise blue to neon green- none of them being even remotely close to the color I was asking for. I started to get anxious since it was causing a scene and the colors were way off and I told them it was fine and to just leave my toes how they were since none of them could seem to color match. Instead of listening to me, the nail tech doing my manicure insisted on changing my toe nail polish even though it was clear that I wasn’t going to be walking out of the salon with the nails that I asked for. I tried telling her it was okay and to not worry about it, and she proceeded to get up and try to find the matching color herself while my manicure...

My Honest Experience at Angel Tips in Garwood

I’m writing this review with a heavy heart because what was supposed to be a joyful and memorable day turned into a huge disappointment for my daughter and her friends.

For her birthday, my daughter asked to get her nails and feet done with her little friends. They’re all five years old, and I made sure to call Angel Tips ahead of time to confirm that they’d be okay accommodating a group of young girls. The woman I spoke to on the phone was incredibly sweet and welcoming, which made me feel confident and excited to bring the girls in.

However, when we arrived, the tone quickly changed. The woman at the front (I’m not sure of her name) immediately started going over pricing, which I told her was fine—we had an appointment, and I had called ahead. I explained it was my daughter’s birthday and that we were here to celebrate with a fun little nail day.

That’s when she told me the girls needed to be quiet or they wouldn’t be serviced, because there were other clients in the salon. While I understand and respect that salons aim to create a relaxing environment, the way it was communicated felt harsh and unkind. The girls were just excited—it’s not every day you turn five and get to have a spa day with your best friends.

I calmly told her we would leave, and she didn’t seem to mind. We were essentially pushed out the door.

There was a very sad birthday girl and her equally disappointed friends. I truly wish the experience had matched the kindness I received over the phone. Businesses have every right to set boundaries, but how they communicate them—especially to families with children—makes all...
