I only gave this to stores for the simple fact that my daughter enjoyed her birthday out here. When the session started the slide was not available to use because they were short-staffed. I am already a very impatient person when it comes to waiting for something that should be available already especially when I have paid my money. The slide was not available until about 30 minutes after the session started and had I not complained it probably would have been even longer. Then the last 30 minutes of the session was cut short because someone threw up in the pool. I definitely understand protocol and it had to be cleaned but with that being said unforeseen accidents should not punish everyone else who has paid so I feel that those people should have been compensated in some kind of way. Here's my thing if I pay for 3 hours I expect nothing less than three hours not 2 hours and 59 minutes. The young manager who was at the pool was very nice and she tried to explain. I honestly want to give it only one star considering the fact that the booth where you buy the tickets there were two ladies in there and I was supposed to get a call back and never did. Bad communication and customer service. I'm actually still waiting on that phone call now which is 7 Days Later. This was our very first time coming and I'm disappointed because basically that was an hour in total of my daughter's slide time taken from her and I mean let's be real it's only $3 so why would they not be able to say well hey you guys were cut short so let us give you a free ticket or heck I would have even accept it if they said next round will be $1. And some may say well hey like you said it's only $3 so don't complain about it just pay it to go again but the reason why I will complain is because if I go to pay to get in they will not accept $2.75 Oh, They'll want the whole $3 so I want my whole 3 hours. I can't say that I won't return because again it is cheap and my daughter enjoyed herself although she was a little angry by having to leave early. There are bad days for everyone so maybe this was just a bad day hopefully next time...
Read moreThe park itself is beautiful. Hardly any litter & all the equipment is in nice condition.
The reason i give it 3 stars instead of 5 is because a certain type of people tend to use these parks for their birthday parties and take up all of the table seating so that no one else can enjoy them. I believe they actually pay for reservations - but shouldn’t public parks be for the public & not private parties…?
The train ride costs $1/person(kid or adult). The splash pad is free, the pool costs $4/person(kid or adult).
If you are looking for a place for the kids to play while you sit in the shade - look elsewhere. Shade is hard to come by because all the birthday parties going on under the covered seating areas.
I recommend bringing your own seating & your own umbrella if you plan to stay long.
The splash pad @ the veterans park(in Charlotte) is 3 times bigger with a full shade covering & the train ride goes slower & costs...
