When you find good Indian food in the places you expect least, it’s natural to be pleasantly surprised. Indian Food Express in Gastonia, the suburb of Charlotte is an epitome of that. The truck sits outside a convenience store, and is quite conspicuous.
For food, we’ve tried:
Chicken Egg Roll: Crisp, flaky parathas with an inner lining of omelette and filled with delicious chicken nuggets—it reminds you of the time in India when the sun setting seemed as delectable as the rolls as you gorge down the rolls.
Chicken 65: Chicken bites with a drizzle of spicy sauce are just the perfect answer to your spice cravings.
Chicken Noodles: The chicken noodles from are an absolute delight—comforting, flavorful, and packed with just the right amount of spice. Each strand of noodle is perfectly stir-fried, neither too greasy nor too dry, and carried that irresistible smoky wok aroma. The chicken is tender, juicy, and generously portioned, soaking up the savory-sweet sauces with a whisper of heat that lingers without overwhelming. A perfect fusion of Indo-Chinese street food magic—quick, hearty, and unforgettable.
The person who serves/cooks the food is charming and polite.
You order the food at the truck and pay inside the convenience store(if paying by card), or at the truck itself if paying by cash.

Read moreI ordered delivery through DoorDash. Best Indian food that I’ve ever had. I have been constantly disappointed and I’m so thankful I never gave up. I truly truly wanted to like Indian food since I enjoy food from all different cultures. They did not disappoint and I’m in love with the fish fried rice! I love seafood and it was the first dish I dug into. Don’t let the picture fool you. There is plenty of fish with the rice. I was only able to finish half of my fish fried rice and that was because I didn’t want to stop eating. I was also doing a happy dance while eating.
The meat/rice is tendered, moist, and well seasoned. I could taste the garlic in my naan bread and it soaked up my curry so nicely. It wasn’t tough to chew nor did it break apart whenever I went to grab my food with it. I was so full but I didn’t want to stop eating. Unfortunately, my stomach isn’t big enough or I would’ve finished all my food.
I’m excited to share this new find with my family and friends who love Indian food. They told me to not give up and here I am leaving a review because I couldn’t not say anything.
Thank you so much for the...
