Welp, I guess there is a first time for everything! I was just here at Taxco last Wednesday and had a great experience, as I usually do. However today, I placed a phone order (BIG MISTAKE) for the first and LAST time. I ordered the Quesa de Birria with rice, and cheese dip. I get to the restaurant and I repeat my order before taking the bag and paying and she immediately started to tell me that’s not what I said when ordering. She debated me for about 3 minutes on what I ordered versus what she heard me order. She wanted to argue with me and tell me that I said “Taco de Birria” instead of “Quesa de Birria”… After asking several times if she could have the kitchen remake the correct order she still wanted to explain and reprimand me on “next time” I told her most likely there won’t be a next time the way that you are seemingly wanting to argue with a paying customer AND for the simple fact she said she was the manager. It was a disgusting experience, she was rude and handled the matter...
Read moreIt use to be one of our favorite mexican restaurants, the “manager” EDUARDO use to hang out with us until it was time to go, joke every time, until something happened and he had a bad day maybe.
Maybe because I called him out no been nice to the female workers, not sure why, but he did told us to leave the place and not come back after many many times been many times. I don’t recall saying anything bad to him or at least nothing different than our regular jokes with him
The worse was him telling us to leave when a smile I didn’t know if he was for real or not!
I’ve known the manager for years since he was a waiter at other Mexican restaurant around town, but you can definitely tell that now that he’s a manager he’s actitud has completely change. I would’ve never joke with him if he would’ve told me he did not like joking, or would’ve...
Read moreI'm not from here so I'm guessing maybe we do things differently right down the road in SC? I came here especially for the birria tacos. Ive tasted birria from many restaurants, but never like this. They were not what I'm used to at all. It was just a tortilla with meat, onion and cilantro. What happened to dipping the tortillas and grilling the birria? The sauce that they came with almost sent me to the hospital because of the spice. I like spice but this was horrible and quite frankly, not eatable. The fish tacos were the star of the show. They were very funky but good tasting. The dip was good but the size was the same as the sauce cups. The people and Atmosphere was really nice and that's the plus. I would like to maybe try again and dine in to see if there's a difference. Maybe I didn't...
