This is such an awesome place to make mosaic glass art. We came here after spending a few days in Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. After spending a couple days taking in all the sights and sounds of these crowded areas we where wanting to get away from all the overload.
We where looking for a fun activity to do that was more low key and this was definitely the perfect activity for us to enjoy.
I highly recommend Firefly’s and you definitely don’t have to have any pre art skills to make stained glass art. It’s for all ages and skill levels and Ms. Nancy is amazing to work with. She is very good working with special needs individuals being very patient and accommodating of everyone. Ms. Nancy is a pleasure to talk to and makes your experience very fun and enjoyable. If you or your family are looking for a fun activity to do this is the place to...
Read moreMy mom and I were on the artisans loop when we dropped by. The studio has some beautiful pieces available for sale but also offers a "make it" experience. We did the make it. Once we chose our base we could filter through the available glass pieces to make our image. There is no time limit nor do you need a reservation (at the time we were there at least). The artist was friendly and helpful. If you needed a piece cut to fit your project, it was no problem. The cost of the class was very reasonable. My pendant was $20 vs $12 if you by an already made one. I so enjoyed being able to make my own unique one of a kind pendant. The only downside is the obvious of not being able to take it home that day as it needs to be fired but the cost of shipping is included in the class price. Our pieces arrived undamaged right on time...

Upon arrival we found a sign on the door explaining that they had to step out for a family emergency and that they'd be back soon. The next day we called before driving out. We got a standard voicemail message and took this to mean they were open. Unfortunately, we once again arrived to see the same message from the day before. I understand that life happens and some things need to wait but a non-generic voicemail message would have made all the difference. Instead we wasted a lot of time driving...
