Elk Springs- Bear Cub Lodge — Hotel in Gatlinburg

The overall experience vacationing in Gatlinburg,TN and staying at the Bear Cub Lodge was amazing. Gatlinburg ,TN is absolutely beautiful and I highly recommend visiting. The cabin was much more than expected, in fact the cabin looked just like the pictures on the website. It was clean, the rooms are large, cozy and comfortable. I didn't want to leave the cabin, but my daughter insisted we tour the city. We loved sitting on the deck, using the hot tub, game room and watching the large screen projector. The kitchen was fully furnished with everything you needed. The Management Staff was extremely friendly, professional and prompt to assist with our request. This place was not clean on arrival, floors dirty, a dirty plastic knife in the window shild, dust on all the furniture. Shower with dirty fumes I'm with people that invited me, I will not suggest this place to anyone. Maintenance problems, the Air conditioning not working in some of the rooms, the maintenance man came out. Appliances not clean! Stove, refrigerator horrible place to stay nothing sanitized!!! One roll of single-ply Toilet paper for each of 3 bathrooms - not ideal for 3 couples staying 4 days. Air hockey table barely worked, pool table was in a corner where you couldn’t get a shot most of the time. Even if you could, the tips literally fall off of the pool sticks. Hard to shoot with the poolstick completely vertical. The ‘viewing room’ had a loveseat, one wooden chair & 2 wooden saddleback barstools (crammed in the same room as the pool table).
