Concrete Statuary Designs — Attraction in Gatlinburg

Took a girls road trip to the Gatlinburg area and drove by this gem for three days before it was actually open (our cabin was somewhat nearby). We had some sort of plan the day we spotted the gate open and our whole day went out the window because we swung our mini van into the lot fast enough to give you whiplash! We had so much fun looking at all of the statues, wandering through the little indoor shops and chatting with the women who own/run the place. A few of us selected pieces and they carefully put them in our van, wrapped them and made sure they'd be secure enough to make it back to Wisconsin. The owners gave us some fun tips for where to go that's local as far as shopping, hiking, swimming and dining - even told us about a festival in Green Briar that we hit up when we left! I've never been so happy to have a concrete flamingo perched up on my back porch - now I just need to find her some clothes before...

Owner wrapped up our concrete Gnome and another lady's concrete possum in newspaper and set them on the counter. She then gave us the wrong item. Unfortunately we didn't discover she gave us a possum instead of the Gnome we purchased until we drove 600 miles back home. Called them and the owner wouldn't talk to me. Had her employee do the talking. She said they though it was funny we had the wrong item. Said it was our mistake. They handed us the wrapped up item, it was their mistake. Now they won't refund the sale unless we ship the 20 pound concrete possum back to Tennessee. USPS shipping would be $40, more than the refund would be. Unwrap and triple check what they wrap up and hand you. They want vacationers to shop and then take advantage of the people who try and support small businesses. We had an amazing experience at Concrete Statuary Designs! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home as we browsed their vast selection of statues. We were looking for a specific painted piece, but they had just sold the last one. Instead of turning us away, they went above and beyond by offering to custom-paint one for us to pick up later! That level of service is truly 5-star quality.

The prices are exactly what you'd expect for hand-painted craftsmanship—fair and worth every penny for the detail and quality they put into their work. The selection is incredible, with statues of all kinds, from classic designs to unique and eye-catching pieces.
