We make it a point to stop here everytime we travel up/back from the RGV. A good place to stop timing wise. The pavilion is huge and makes me feel like I'm a kid in elementary again. 2 tables available under it. Nice to chill and watch the traffic pass by. Sonic is across from it directly, so we'll grab some food and eat it at the park/pavilion, a hop away. Excellent warm breezes! Important wee note: they have a water faucet available on the grounds! My 1 son had a "blow out" diaper (yucky) and I washed him off with the water there. (Desperate!) And after our 2 boys are done playing on the "humble" playsets I wash their hands and feet off there as well. 1 summer I drenched my son's head/hair with water when we 1st arrived, after playing ready to get back on the road his hair had already dried.
