First off i don’t see how this motel has so many positive reviews. The rooms were disgusting. Stains all over the carpet. I constantly would have to adjust the tank for the toilet because the chain kept breaking off. Ice machine looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. The amount of gunk accumulated on the dispenser was atrocious. The complimentary breakfast shouldn’t be prepared anymore because it was horrible. So I prepaid for 3 rooms a month in advance and when i arrived the girl at the front desk asked for an additional card to put on file. Seems strange why not just use the card that was prepaid. Well we gave one. Fast forward one of the rooms that were reserved the toilet kept clogging up. We were then moved to another room i figured ok moving to another room no charge. Ive been in plenty of hotels and if they have issues they move you. Not this place. The additional card we had to put on file was charged for this new room. It’s not my fault you had a faulty toilet. Spoke with the girl the following morning after seeing the charge. She said i had to speak with a manager since she couldn’t do anything about it because she was too new. Called the following day to speak with the manager and after several minutes she finally found the charge i was inquiring about. She mentioned that her new girls that were hired were incompetent. They are only incompetent because of the training well lack of training they received. After several attempts of communicating back and forth did she finally comprehend that the mistake was on their end and i needed the charge to be credited back to my account. She said 24 to 48 hours and i should see a credit. I call back after 96 hours just to give it some time and the credit still hasn’t been done. I was just asking a simple question to verify that the credit was complete on their end so i could call my bank and figure out what was going on. Well she barked back with a ton of attitude telling me she can’t keep giving credits. All i was asking for was the credit that they took that should have never been charged. This will be the last time i ever stay at this disgusting motel. Always check your card statements to verify they aren’t over charging you or charging you additionally. The rooms were 108.57 a night but since i used their website and their website uses a 3rd party site i was charged an additional 50 dollars on top of my room. Wish i would have known that as well. But you learn as you go. Just helping the next person with an honest review.
Update: just spoke with my bank and it shows on their end nothing had been submitted over by the motel. So now i have to wait an additional 10 days to see if anything comes up. Read moreIf it were possible to leave no stars, that would still be too much of a good review for this "establishment" we had water service with the room the whole time we were here. When asked for a refund they said we paid a third party site and that we would have to contact them....even though the third party site paid this "establishment" the money we paid them. The manager promised the water would be fixed the second morning we were here, at 1430 hrs the manager woke us up(we work graveyard shift) to see if the hot water issue had been fixed....we went from only cold water to no water. (Hince the refund) after again telling us it would be fixed I told her we are checking out the following day and did not want to be disturbed again. Not even 10 minutes after this the manager had the "maintenance man" knock on our door again and proceeded to barge past me after telling him we did not want him in the room that we were trying to sleep. The lack of regard or respect for customer requests is very un-becoming of a big chain like best Western and will be a negitive mark of judgment on ALL best Western hotels. Furthermore they have full time residents here that are being charge 1300 bucks a month for this poor quality of property management and service. Crackhead hotels have better customer service. Also watch the response, as in another customer review they will say things like do not disturb markers for the room door and claim their service as excellent.
Follow up after business response was exactly what I said. Out of your control or not, the room was not worth what was paid and refund for lack of water service and the intrusion in the room by the maintenance man is not something that gets fixed by one or multiple apologies. They are not excepted, keep your have a good day statement. You need it more then I do. Also the quality Inn in three rivers is an excellent establishment with caring and committed staff. Read moreMy experience at the George West Best Western was nothing less than a complete disaster. My family and I are evacuees from the recent major storm, hurricane Harvey. The whole time, there were people constantly smoking, and a couple of people were even smoking pot. We initially booked the room for Friday,Saturday but decided Saturday morning we would also need to stay Sunday. My father (who is a first responder) went ahead and spoke with them and they told him we would have the room for Sunday night as well. Today at 2pm housekeeping came and told us we were going to have to leave because someone else had booked our room. After a brief discussion with the management we found out they failed to reserve our room for us even though they said they would the previous day. I dont understand why this has turned out to be such a mess considering the owner was present. She showed no sympathy whatsoever for me and my family. I found her attitude very upsetting. Since everything was booked we had to return home to Ingleside. Now my father, a police officer for the ccpd, will (on top of his 12 hour shifts) have to come home to a house with no power, and no plumbing. This means no clean uniform, and no warm showers after a long day of work with very little sleep. On top of that he will constantly be in fear for the well being of his family because of the threat of looters. I hesitate to say this, but I really feel that the owner of this Best Western does not like police at all. Its a shame that my father who worked so hard to keep the victims of hurricane Harvey safe was treated with such disrespect. He had confirmed Saturday that we would Have the room Sunday, but somehow our room was "accidentally" given away to someone else. I find that hard to believe.
