decided to venture out and stopped by this place cause of all the different options they offer. Took me some time to park cause I didn’t see a designated parking area. I’m sure during peak hours and being close to government office and other businesses I can see parking being an issue but we were there in the evening hours so using the office street parking wasn’t an issue. But once inside we were seated and drinks ordered quickly even with a small staff. Didn’t take too long for our food to arrive. Ordered some sweet chili wings which were okay. Egg rolls were okay. Onion rings were good. Chicken ride rice was good also. A big group came in waitress got busy then forgot about us :/ our cups ran empty, plates piling up, had to source our own napkins then wait seems like forever to get to go boxes and the ticket which with all the food came out to around $100 which seemed a little pricey but breaking it down we were a group of 4 so $25 each which isn’t too bad. Yeah, this is a gem of a restaurant. I was welcomed by Mary, such a great person. I had fried fish and shrimp with a side of coleslaw. Wow, this whole plate was outta this world. Read moreThis is a small, hole-in-the wall eating establishment 5 miles west of IH37 in George West. The catfish and shrimp ($15.99) came in a basket like the plastic ones at Dairy Queen. The shrimp was good as well as the catfish which had a good crunch coating although it was a bit salty. My husband liked the shrimp Poor Boy.
