PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU PURCHASE OR PUT DOWN A DEPOSIT!! My wife and I went to A-Tex and spoke to Brandon (Sales Rep). During the demo he was very nice and professional. He answered all of our questions. We sat down in his office and he gave us pricing. We explained that we were waiting for a home equity loan to be approved when we decided put down a $500 deposit (Using a credit card) as a good faith payment for a hot tub. We also did not want him to think we were wasting his time in working with us. We were being respectful. A few days later we had our own Electrician come out to the house and install the wiring for our new future hot tub ($1300). A little time transpired while we were waiting on the loan to be dispersed. We did not get the amount that we requested on the bank loan. Also during this time, my company decided to reduce all employee salaries by 14k. Between these 2 life situations happening, unfortunately we were unable to afford our new hot tub at this time. It was at this point that I requested my deposit to be refunded. I relayed this all to Brandon and he stated that he would see if we could be refunded, and have his manager call me. Exactly a week later to the day, I emailed Brandon that no one called me. He replied to my email that he thought she called and apologized. In his email he stated that he was not able to get the approval for a refund. I called him at the business and was told that he was off today. HOWEVER, here was his Manager Blair (the one that was denying our request) answering the phone. I re-explained my situation and case to her. She stated that it was their policy that they DO NOT issue refunds. When I asked her several times why that was a policy and to lose a customer because of it, she could not give me a direct answer. “It was just their policy”. Very disappointed and frustrated that there are businesses out there that still do this. BOTTOM LINE, don’t leave a deposit. You will not get it back if something out of your control happens to you. Had they issued our deposit back, we would have absolutely been loyal in purchasing a new hot tub from them. To us, that is doing good clean business. Something this company...
   Read moreI am totally thrilled with A-Tex and with the American Whirlpool hot tub, model 461 that we purchased. When my husband and I went into the store, in my mind it was more to gather information. I am a hard sell, and wasn’t planning to buy a hot tub at this time, but the more Bob talked about all the features, and why he personally liked certain things more than others (this is valuable information!), the more I perceived that he was a valuable source of information—mostly because he had had MANY years of experience with the company, and he was very genuine. The 461 we got just exceeds all expectations. I can’t say enough about it. The great warranty, the jets, all the variations of the dials, the bluetooth speakers, the lights, the two arches of water, and the energy efficiency are all wonderful in themselves. But what surprised me the most was the looks of therapeutic pain (the good pain) from the massaging jets pin-pointing the precise muscles of my family members, the eventual loosening of the tension of their facial muscies, and the ensuing smiles afterwards!! One said she felt like a million bucks and now can move her head. Another said the jets had numbed his shoulder so much, and had massaged just the right muscles that now he was able to do his Austin Metro route on his bus (not an easy thing!)—the day before, he could not finish his day because his arm just could no longer steer the big wheel. I have felt the relief myself on a crick between my shoulder blades, as the wiggling jets of water pulsed on the pinched area, and eventually the crick turned loose.    Read moreI WOULDN'T GIVE 1 STAR Worst experience ever. This company needs training in customer service, manners, and communication. They are nice when you put deposit down after that good luck getting ahold of them. Our pool sat at the location for 3 months I even sent multiple emails for eta never responded. When the contractor finally called 4 months out he committed to Thursday shows up on Wednesday they work for 3 hours promised to be back Friday never came back wouldn't even answer his phone texted "I'll call you back " and doesn't. Nice Hector..... Called Manager at 10am left message with some girl. Called back 3 hours later get more lies and excuses from RUDE MANAGER ."I never got your message" I explained citation and they can finish job as promised or pick up their pool either way come back as promised she didn't care said I'll call you back. 5 hours later I call back and was put on hold for a hour and 45 minutes. At that point I was done being treated like I had to spend my money with them. I assure you there is more to this bad experience this is just the icing on the cake. DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY WITH THEM THEY WILL NOT APPRECIATE YOU OR TAKE...
