The Promise - Texas — Attraction in Glen Rose

We saw The Promise of the Resurrection and it was a very well done show. Praise God for the hearts of all that bring these days of Jesus to life. I recommend the reserved seating. It's nice to sit up close and know you'll have a good seat. The sections aren't clearly marked so we did have to have an usher help us know which seats were ours (which people were sitting in so they had to move 🥴). Photography is allowed but be aware of your flash for the sake of others in the audience and the cast. Snacks were good (popcorn, nachos, sodas, pickles, candy). Nice black zip-up hoodies available for purchase (around $40) and beautiful hand carved wooden pieces also. Parking was good, leaving the parking lot was okay but some parking lot attendants would be helpful in creating some more order with leaving. Glen Rose was a really sweet town and our stay at the Holiday Inn Express was great; very close by. We at the the Italian restaurant and weren't too impressed but Big Cup Eatery was great. Absolutely wonderfully executed and beautiful to watch. Heart warming and very enlightening. I'm not a fan of musicals, tbh, but this was amazing to watch. The cast did a fantastic job with the acting, singing, AND dancing. Such breathtaking voices and movements. The crew was 100% spot on with lights and effects. Even my 5 & 11 year olds were completely engulfed the entire time. The concessions weren't ridiculously priced. The bathrooms were well maintained and clean, and the ENTIRE staff was welcoming, cordial, and even helpful at times. Even the teenagers in the concessions were being great and well behaved (which, if you know teenagers, is hard to find in ANY setting lol) One young man even helped my husband carry the 10 different drinks our families wanted back to our seats! The play was wonderful to see!! I was very impressed how many were in the production! If you buy general admission you need to get there early to get good seats as it is first come first serve. The food/ drink lines were SUPER long! The concession stand had popcorn /pretzels and the coffeebar had different kinds of coffee. The 1food truck they had was super long line! My suggestion is they could get chickfila food truck or have a permanent stand for chickfila. Im sure chickfila in granbury would love to come out and serve! They just need more food trucks to help with options for people so lines are not super long!!! The bathrooms could use some updating* They did mention they need to get new lights which are very expensive* Any donations would be glady...
