So beautiful! Rolling hills, sweeping vistas and lots and lots of dead people. Underground of course but oh they're there! Still, it's quite tranquil. At the top resides a small.museum and a chapel and an unparalleled view of Glendale and downtown L.A. The chapel is a copy of an old English church from the 900's and the museum has an actual Easter Island statue as well as some gorgeous bronze and marble sculptures. Also up top is two GIGANTIC paintings of the crucifixion, one that was lost for decades which is so large and long it was wrapped around a telephone pole until it was rediscovered and a companion piece painted specifically for the cavernous hall built around it. The crew that works on the trimmings & maintenance are very diligent & get things done day to day basis's. I appreciate the management staff here, for assistance when a few years back the Terracotta flower bowl I would place on my grandfathers grave got moved to a different persons headstone. Having realized the workers moved it when they run the grass trimming tractor, so they wouldn't run over it, placed the pot back on the wrong grave. Once I talked with the management that never happened again. I still think the workers are doing an excellent job on keeping the place looking very...
