Dear Evelyn,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding a recent experience I had at your facility, Quest Diagnostics at 1500 S Central Ave Ste 326, Glendale, CA 91204. I believe it is important for you to be aware of the series of events that transpired during my visit on [Date: 08/15/2023].
My infant child, L… Hakobyan, was unwell and had a high body temperature, leading our pediatrician to provide us with a referral for urgent testing, marked with the term "Stat" to emphasize the urgency of the situation. With this paper in hand, my family and I visited your facility, hoping to receive prompt attention given the critical nature of the circumstances.
Regrettably, our experience at Quest Diagnostics was far from satisfactory. Upon our arrival, we encountered your staff members Carolyn and Jill. Despite presenting the referral with the clear indication of urgency ("Stat"), both Carolyn and Jill were dismissive of our concerns and insisted on scheduling an appointment, disregarding the critical nature of our situation. Their lack of empathy and understanding was distressing, particularly given the condition of our baby and the urgency communicated by our doctor.
Furthermore, both Carolyn and Jill displayed an alarming level of unprofessionalism. Their dismissive attitudes, unwillingness to listen, and even crying as a reaction to our request for immediate attention were completely inappropriate and unacceptable.
Fortunately, our experience took a positive turn when a third staff member, Michelle, treated us with the respect and urgency that should have been shown from the outset. Michelle promptly attended to us, understanding the gravity of the situation and ensuring that our child received the necessary testing without further delay. I commend Michelle for her professionalism and empathy, which greatly contrasted with the behavior exhibited by Carolyn and Jill.
I strongly believe that the lack of professionalism, empathy, and understanding demonstrated by Carolyn and Jill not only compromised our experience but also put our child's health at risk. As a concerned parent, I implore you to take immediate action to address this matter. It is essential that your staff receive proper training in handling urgent cases and treating patients with the compassion and respect they deserve, irrespective of the nature of their concerns.
I kindly request that you investigate this incident thoroughly and take appropriate steps to prevent such instances from occurring in the future. As a loyal customer, I trust that you will take this matter seriously and prioritize the well-being of all patients who visit Quest Diagnostics.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing about the steps you will be taking to address the issues raised in this...
Read moreI think the issue is a general one with Quest, not just this location (according to google reviews on several locations I looked at). I would suggest to avoid them as all location seem to be understaffed with no receptionist in charge. Scheduling an appointment is almost useless because you have to wait, not sure what the QR code you get is for, as nobody scans it and there are no kiosks for self check-in as they claim. The worst part of my experience was the wait in the hallway with 7 other people all breathing the same air with nobody checking on us. Some people were elderly and I myself am 7 month pregnant. My wait time was 30 minutes (yes I had an appointment and scheduled 2 weeks ahead of time) standing up waiting for someone to show up to allow people to finally go to the waiting room that was entirely empty! Those people waiting in a narrow hallway should’ve been admitted inside to have a seat, that is just common sense and the least you can do for your clients. If leaving people in a narrow corridor with no proper ventilation for 30min is a way to control a pandemic spread, then trust me a 6 year old kid would tell you you are doing it wrong! I finally get inside and hang my jacket and handbag on the only hanger I see in the station and then I am asked to remove them and put them on my lap because it is the staff’s “personal” hanger.. I asked my doctor to send me elsewhere for any future test. This was a horrible experience and I suggest you go somewhere else that treats patients in a descent way. And PLEASE don’t respond to my review if you’re going to copy-paste the same answer you’ve added on everybody’s 1...
Read moreThis was one of the most frustrating and unprofessional experiences I’ve ever had.
I came to Quest Diagnostics (Glendale, Ste 326) on 7/25/2025 to drop off a stool sample for an H. Pylori test. I had already paid $95 out of pocket through Ulta Lab Tests, and the test requires no blood draw, no appointment, and no consultation — just a simple drop-off.
I arrived as a walk-in, registered at the kiosk, and sat down — assuming I’d be called shortly to hand over the sample.
Instead, I waited for over an hour, with zero communication.
When I asked the staff why it was taking so long, they refused to listen, talked over me, and told me I “needed an appointment” just to drop off a stool sample.
That is absolutely ridiculous. My lab order clearly states this is a self-collected sample to be returned within 24 hours. I did everything correctly, and yet I was met with disrespect, disorganization, and no accountability.
This is not just bad service — it’s complete negligence. If you’re unable to manage something as basic as accepting a pre-paid sample from a registered patient, how can anyone trust you with actual lab testing?
I wasted over an hour of my time, and still left without being able to drop off my sample.
I strongly warn others against using this location. Quest Diagnostics...
