After living here for two years we had to move because they were upgrading apartments and ours needed the upgrade. We elected to stay with Paseo Park and move to a different apartment. 2 months prior to lease expiration, we worked with an office staff member to select a new apartment. Part of the criteria we looked for was to be able to continue having Dish Network satellite service. We turned down several apartments because they were unable to line up with Dish's satellite. After we signed a new lease we found out Paseo Park no longer allows satellite dishes to be attached to the building claiming they had sent out a notice 2 months prior. We were never notified. Had we been we would have moved to another complex. Since moving in, we've found the "upgrades" to be a new refrigerator, stove, microwave and flooring (which are nice). The "new" cupboards are not new; they've simply been refaced. The "new" countertops and bathtub tiles are not new, they've simply been painted over and the paint is peeling in one of the bathrooms. The new light fixtures and fans are nice with the exception of the kitchen where they installed tiny, mini spots. The kitchen is so dark it's ridiculous. The phone jack in the bedroom we use as an office is dead. We've been waiting 2 days to get it fixed. Since we have a pet, we have to take off work to wait for maintenance.I just checked with the office and was told they are short staffed and they didn't know when they would get to it. That was after telling us someone would be out Monday between 1:30 and 5:30. No one showed. We called Tuesday morning and were told someone would be here in the next 2 hours. That was 6 hours ago and are still waiting. To say we are extremely dissatisfied would be a gross understatement of facts. My recommendation would be not to move in here. We had 2, primarily, hassle free years. It has now turned into a nightmare of epic...
Read moreVery very large area, great for playing fetch with dogs or flying kites, or playing with R/C devices. Any activity where you need a lot of wide open space, this is the perfect place. The large canal that runs through Phoenix is along the border of one side of the area, and I guess you can fish it if you wanted to? I did see a few people casting in. I was there just looking for a place to ride my electric scooter. It's okay 4 out of 5 stars. I would prefer to ride pavement and it was a dirt path, some of it a bit sketchy on the scooter. I found the scooter being pulled around a little bit on the unever terrain. A below average rider on a scooter or bicycle might find trouble here. Also I was on one side of the canal and the park was on the other side . I wanted to be in the park side but had to travel way way down to a main road crossing to get to the other side. I would have liked to find a bridge or something to get over a bit sooner. Otherwise it's a nice quiet area with wide open space...
Read moreI used to love taking the family here for walks, bike rides, and basketball but after my last three experiences I will not be going back. There were homeless people sleeping in a tent there. The police showed up and kicked them out. Found a syringe lying in the grass along with a bunch of other trash scattered around. There were some people smoking marijuana. Not to mention people bring their dogs without a leash. Last time a dog (twice my dog's size) ran up to my poor frightened dog and the owners didn't do anything. They just called their dog who clearly didn't listen then walked off while their dog continued to get in my dog's face until I picked him up and we just left. We will NOT be returning to this park. It has clearly gone downhill over the past...
