I have been ordering from this place for over a year and today I received seafood that smelled rotten. Called the restaurant to pick up something else in compensation and they refused. They wanted me to taste badly smelling food that I can get food poisoning from.. owner said "I'm losing money if I give you something else for free" when I asked for a replacement of another meal that was $5 cheaper and even though I was going to make the drive over to pick it (waist of my time) this makes me sick no other restaurant would have done this.. they lost a reoccurring costumer to save $10.. what a bad business they will for sure close down with this type of attitude towards their costumers. I am disgusted by their disrespect towards me and my husband. She also tried to argue me about food cost lol when restaurants buy for cheap because they buy in bulk she's literally making dollars to the pennys she pays. Saying she's losing money on the shrimp because it's costly even though we PAID for it.. smh I was replacing it with a beef mein fun which is noodles that cost nothing in comparison to shrimp and they are stingy with the meat in all the mein funs. So the price of the beef would have costed them nothing. When I asked to speak to the owner the lady said she was the owner. When I know damn well the owner barely speaks English. They were the ones who first answered the call and either gave the phone to there disrespectful daughter or some employee this place is a joke!! Can't believe I ordered from this place for so long for such mediocre food smh who eats food that smells bad? If it smells bad it's guaranteed...
Read moreYesterday evening I decided to treat self and family as well as find out what the new owners of this location are presenting. Placing my order the young woman at the register preserved my place in line from a line cutter. (Excellent. ) She then informed me that the order would take 25 minutes. This means that they are cooking fresh which is also excellent. Problem is that I have an adult child in the vehicle who is going to give me endless mountains of grief for the entire 25 minutes so I needed to return him to his video console and come back to pick up the order (plus the other freshly purchased stuff in the vehicle.) I had just paid cash but I had no receipt or proof of order and she refused to give me one. So I know that when I come back they will say " Who are you " and there will be no food just laughing in my face and lost my money. Even the linecutter tried to intervene on my behalf and explain that it was proper to give proof of purchase. At this point I didn't want food anymore. I just wanted my money back which she refused, repeatedly. Golden rule of dining out - NEVER buy food from people who you aren't getting along with. So yes, like a prisoner I did go back and get the food wondering if I should toss it in their trash or where and still have to figure out late in the evening what's for dinner. So much for my break, my treat to my family who have been going through alot lately. Also informative that I am an old white woman and the only "white " in this whole scenario so I am clear that yes it's happening, even in my little corner...
Read moreEdit: Ordered lunch and got the mushroom chicken. Plenty of food and good flavor! Ordered the fried dumplings again and used some of the leftover dipping sauce for my leftover chicken entree with rice to help keep leftover rice from being dry. Yummy!
First review: I only ordered two things today: cheese wontons (cream cheese/crab wontons) and fried dumplings (pork potstickers).
I really liked the potstickers' sauce - it's a chili soy with some sweetness to it. Potstickers were warm and have some diced onions and cabbage in them.
The sweet n sour sauce wasn't as impressive, but it did the job. The cheese wontons were similar to another popular location a mile north of here, but I didn't really taste any crab/scallions. To me it was literally just fried cream cheese wontons.
You get nice sized portions of these appetizers, and I'm interested in trying an entree on my next visit.
Masks are required upon entry, and canned sodas (12 oz.) as well as 2-L bottles are available to purchase with your orders. Looks like they were Coca-Cola products (including Barq's root beer, which is a...
