Currently VERY UNHAPPY with the service I'm getting as a customer. I currently have a Cub Cadet rider with them to have a service performed, diagnose/repair an internal governor/throttle issue, and replace the deck height cable. I have had exactly ZERO updates from owner/operators since I brought it in to them OVER a month ago. I have stopped in twice in person to get an update on the spot - "cable on back order, maybe it'll show up soon/this order/that order". I am confident they haven't done any engine work on it yet besides basic carb work.
Today when I dropped in, the nice front desk lady couldn't find my service ticket, had NO update for me, and there were a dozen or more mowers parked in front of my mower which was sitting in the same place it had been weeks before when I had checked in (outside, mind you). It doesn't really matter the industry, that's just very poor service and as a customer I feel extremely de-prioritized. I've been very polite and understanding. But a good service manager should be able to source parts from multiple outlets or find suitable replacements if there's an unacceptable backorder. It's apparent that you won't find that here, in my experience. I hope this local company can hire some good help, because it seems like they need it.
I'm only giving 2 stars vs. 1 because I am trying to keep faith that they will repair the root of the mechanical problems with my mower, in which case I'll reconsider my review in totality of my experience. But at the moment, it's sadly disappointing. If it gets worse, it'll be the BBB...

I took a 2-stroke mini tiler and 2-stroke blower in to have the brittle fuel lines replaced on both. I was told they'd be done in a week. After two weeks and zero communication, I stopped and was told a tall tale about they farm all their 2-stroke work out to an old man and the old man had health problems and he had still not picked up my equipment yet for repair. They said the old man just got out of the hospital and my equipment should be done in another week. Then two more weeks later (4 weeks total) with no communication, I stop in again to see what the heck is going on. Their story changed to say they never farm out any 2-stroke engine work and that they simply "forgot" about my stuff this time. I told them, "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me". So, cut my losses and took my stuff back from over a month of being untouched...kinda surprised they could...
Read moreTook a gas string trimmer and a gas craftsman edger in for the normal varnish in carbs after setting all winter. My fault as old gas stabilizer did not work. Took them both into Johnsons first week in may 2020. Checked a few times never done. No calls on estimate for repairs, no follow up af all. Today the 8th of Aug 2020 I decided to just retrieve the items. On arrival at johnsons I was given a bill for the gas edger of 157.4 . More than I paid for machine new. They replaced a idle tension spring and cleaned carb. Spring can be bought for 6.00 and installed in minutes. The gas string trimmer had not been touched. In short they now own both. Never taking anything back there. Went there based on good reviews, not sure what changed. This was first and last time. Took them 15 minutes to even find the work order even though i had my copies and was their only customer in store. Horrible service, probably...
