This place is famous for pre-cooking too much and then letting food sit for hours and re-heating it as needed. For instance: I ordered a corn dog and got a cold in the middle, sagged in on the side with a small hole in it battered hot dog. I knew immediately from prior visits (ie: once I caught them re-dunking my tater tots in hot grease when I asked for fresher ones....) what had happened. Their food is same quality as other Sonics, but you must be very specific when ordering and tell them you want your food made fresh and not microwaved, or re-dipped in deep fryer, or your patty slapped back on the grill and then served to you. They will still try to get away with it though, so you're taking a chance every time. PROOF: Upon receiving aforementioned sad looking corn dog, I actually marked the stick, returned it, and asked a female employee at the drive thru for a brand new, fresh one. She said 'ok, but it will take 5 minutes....' I said I'd be happy to wait. She returned in less than 3 minutes, and said "Here's your FRESH corn dog!' Read moreWorst Sonic experience we've ever had. My rating should be zero stars. We made 5 orders, 2 adults and 3 kids. The orders appeared to be correct on the board when we ordered. When we got our food, every order was messed up and we had an entire cheeseburger combo meal added to my receipt and it was in the bag. The mustard, mayo, ketchup, onion, tomato, etc. requests on the burgers were wrong. One kids cheeseburger came with no cheese. One kid ordered tots and got fries. One adult ordered fries and got tots. One kid didn't get the green apple slush that was ordered. When we complained that every order was wrong, the only thing done was crediting the extra meal and the car hop demanded that meal back. That has never happened anywhere I've been when it's the restaurant's fault. Were they going to serve it to someone else when it had been touched by us?? When it was my turn to order the person said we are short staffed and we have lots of orders if you order, you will have a long wait. I said that’s okay I’ll go ahead and order, the person said well I just want you to know you will have a long wait. At this time there were 6 cars at sonic. I asked for the owners name as if I owned a business, sending people away would not be ideal. (I was told it was on the website) I was okay waiting however I was not okay waiting when they did not want to help. After the first warning, I was fully aware and would have been okay with waiting.
