What a great place to shop. They have everything you could ever want for gifts for any occasion. Their prices are very high. You pay top retail price for everything here, but they have a wide variety and array of products and for gift giving, you can get immediate gratification.
I have one complaint. I know why they do it, but they need to change. They have a beautiful, full jewelry counter full of local and custom jewelry from many jewelers. The purposefully do not have the prices showing. You have to ask to look at each one to see the price. I saw a few items.I wanted to look at, but they were busy with other people. And not knowing the prices, I decided to pass on the jewelry for the second time. I went with a friend of mine, and she made the same comment. Just have the prices showing so we can see them! Then if we see something we like (with a price we want to spend), we can have you take it out for us so we can see it. You're actually losing business this way. I worked in retail stores for many years. This is not good...
Read moreI am usually not a complainer-it takes a lot for me to write up about something. But here goes. Firstly, great gift store! Not knocking the brand. However I would recommend the one in Maple Grove over the Golden Valley location 10000%. (It's a bigger store with nicer employees).
Can't quite put my finger on it, but something has shifted with the employees at the Golden Valley location here over the years. (Cliquey, "mean girl"....?) I simply asked a question about the furniture, and the employee immediately thought I was being rude with my tone of voice (even though that is how I talk.) I apologized and wished her a better week and probably thought she was going through some tough customers because of the holiday season. This was not enough for her. They need to shape up the attitudes there - I will be going to the Maple Grove location from...
Read morestore was cute but management was awful. I understand that theyâre just trying their best during their busy season but there were 3 registers in use and 2 lines had formed, a manager in a purple sweater came by today and forced one line to get behind the other. She might have been trying some type of crowd control but instead she made those who had already waited their turn wait twice as long as they should have. The line then proceeded to wrap around the store and displays when they previously had been right in front of the registers. Everyone around me was happy until this manager came by and then at LEAST 4 other patrons questioned and complained about losing their rightful spot in line. Maybe Patinas should invest in a âline starts hereâ sign instead of leaving their customers with a negative impression on their way...
