The inconsistency is so frustrating. Mornings are usually fine. Only 1 time in the morning, my drink was messed up. It was supposed to be light roast and sweet cream. It was so bitter. I'm assuming the hopper wasn't on correctly. It tasted so bad. I recently started going more on my way home from work since I don't always have time to stop in the mornings. About half the time, my drink has been wrong in the afternoon. Usually little things where my coffee is still drinkable, like using regular roast instead of blonde. Basically, disappointing but I'll still drink it. Today was bad. I ordered ahead as I often do. I'm about 10 minutes away. Afternoons aren't usually busy so mu drink is usually ready and waiting for me when I get there. Not today. They were dead but my drink wasn't ready. When the barista finally noticed me, they asked if I was Kelly and pulled my ticket from the espresso hopper, not the ticket machine. They literally pulled my ticket when it came in and set it aside and forgot about it. I had a hot american with some syrup and some oat milk. It should be pretty hot when it's handed to me since they were making it after I had gotten there. They handed it me without a sleeve. Which isn't the standard for am americano. I had to ask for one, i assumed my drink would be pretty hot since it was just made. I got out to my car and went to take a sip and it was cold. I believe they put cool water in the espresso shots instead of hot water as it's supposed to be. Since it took me about 10 minutes to get my drink already, I just left. My drink was made completely incorrect by this older women. It was a brown sugar shaken expresso and didn’t taste or look right and on top of that the entire glass was filled with ice. Upon trying to return the drink she argued with me explaining how I was wrong and she had made it correctly. I knew she was incorrect because it’s my usual order and every single other Starbucks makes it in a different way. She ended up finally remaking the drink how I wanted it but made a snarky little comment when handing it to me that it was more of a latte. She put up a big fuss about the situation the whole time.
I would not have wasted my time writing this review but the way she acted was unreasonable and unprofessional. When I am paying $7 for a drink and it is made incorrectly I really don’t enjoy being put in the difficult situation of returning it especially when the store is busy so I tried to be very polite. I was fine waiting for it to be remade but this woman made the whole situation very uncomfortable and I will never be returning to this Starbucks again. It is obvious some of the employees here need better training on both how to make drinks correctly and just in general on good...
Read moreI've been coming to this location for the past 2 years, twice a week. Tuesdays and Thursdays. I live in Woodbury, but my daughter cheers in Golden Valley. The service at this location is so far above superior, I wait to get to this location rather than buying near my home.
