I am so happy that The City of Goose Creek built this Central Creek Park and it was possible by the donations of: Roper St. Francis Healthcare, Hone Telecom, Goose Creek Heating and Air, The County Berkeley South Carolina, Boeing, BEC, Trident Construction and Goose Creek Recreation Commission.
I would like to ask all residents and visitors of this beautiful place that has been built for us to please collaborate and keep up with the maintenance.
We all have free access to this amazing park. I personally enjoy walking around the beautiful nature that surrounds it while walking, I enjoy seeing people playing and having fun. For me this is a safe place while I am recovering from several chronic brain infections.
I don’t have small children, or grandchildren to bring them here to play and enjoy the Early Childhood Playground. What a blessing for our young children to have such wonderful playground when they can play different types of games while learning.
We are a strong community please let help with the maintenance. Pick up after yourself.
PLEASE DO NOT LITTER! BE RESPECTFUL TO OTHERS.
Treat the park the same way you treat your own house and keep it clean like your own yard.
We all can collaborate by place our trash in the garage bins that are placed around the park.
It’s is an embarrassment to see how much trash players left at the basketball court every day. There are three trash bins around the basketball court and around the park.
Please be respectful of others by taking a moment of your precious time to discard your trash. Let’s teach our children that we are better and we care about our communities.
Thank you to all employees who worked hard in keeping Central Creek Park safe and beautiful. A special...
Read morePLEASE BEWARE: What a beautiful park! Please take the time on your first visit to be aware of surroundings as it is big and huge dangers exist for little ones. It’s not super clear that the one section is meant for older kids!! 1.) Within 1 minute of arriving my 2 1/2-year-old grandson came very close to being struck by the zip line. There is no barrier between the little kids' side of the park and the 5–12 year-old side (not easy to see the sign designating this is the suggested age and several playthings look ok for a toddler) other than a pathway. Thank the Lord he stopped when I yelled, I consider myself very attentive and I'm a young grandmother (55). The zip line could easily cause a brain injury or worse for a little one running into the path. 2.) The tall aqua structure is not safe for little ones!! It is meant for 5–12 year-olds. The park has since posted a sign on this structure but I know we are not the only ones not initially aware of the dangers because I've seen many little kids on it, as little as crawling up!! My grandson fell straight down through the ropes of the web roping holding the canvas circle on the other side of the tunnel. My husband caught him after he fell 3 of the 5 levels. He got a huge gash on his head and obviously it was terrifying. I actually feel blessed that we got away without a more severe injury. There is the risk of a very high fall for a toddler and a chance of getting entangled/ hurt in the ropes and metal pieces. I hope this message prevents some injuries, that is my goal for posting regarding this beautiful new...
Read moreNewest park in Goose Creek. Great for all ages. Hopefully it'll stay maintained. It's a wonderful addition to the area. Well thought out with many fun options. Can't wait to spend more time here.
Pros: -Well thought out with play areas for all ages - divided into 3 primary areas -Shady Coverage -Splash pad for ther Warmer days -Options for children with special needs -Pickle ball courts -Basketball area -Ping pong -Picnic tables -Swings -Seating around the play areas -2 bathroom areas - by playground and basketball area- 2 types of changing tables -Sheltered picnic area -2 parking lots - one wth electric charging area for 2 cars -Park office on premises -Grassy play area
Cons Currently bathrooms don't lock (it just opened, hopefully that'll be fixed soon). -There are 2 gates around the play area. .. easy to lose sight of children if you have more than one, if you have one you can't really sit in one place and watch while they play without worrying if they've run out of the area or someone has taken them. One exit/ entry would be less nerve wrecking I'm that regard. I didn't see anything on the gates to keep children from opening them. They were both wide open. It's a new park, not sure if that feature is yet to come or not. I did hear several families with...
