This is a fun thing to do on a Friday night. I in no way am a racing fan of any sort, I find NASCAR as boring as golf and tennis, but the races here are very entertaining, I guess cause it's loud, it's fast and you can feel the roar of the engines literally flow through your body. I bought my tickets at the window, I'm military so you get a discount but only at the window, otherwise you can buy tickets in advance at various places around town at a cheaper price for non military. Parking is free and easy, but beware I've seen lazy idiots triple park people because they don't want to walk..... Concessions have a great variety of foods from popcorn to burgers, dogs, nachos pretzels etc.... The beer is mostly tall boys for $4.50 a can which is decent and it's pretty much only the basic American beers, wish they'd get some imports. ..but it's open seating which is fantastic, beware if you sit up front in the grand stand you'll get a good dirt shower (I usually sit up top). I'd recommend to bring ear protection, I usually make it about an hour before my ears start ringing and I have to put mine in...all in all, this is a great spot on a Friday night if you're looking for something to do, even if racing...
Read moreBeing huge race fans and every year going to different tracks to see what there like and see new drivers battle for the win we thought going to Grand Forks River Cities Speedway was a good idea, we was wrong. First thing that shocked us was $18.00 a person to get in. Then $3.50 a pop $2.75 a bag for peanuts $2.75 a bag for sunflower seeds. We spent $60.00 without getting much. After the heats they took 45 min break before features and finished 3 features and come to sprint feature cancelled it cause of getting to late and would run double feature next weekend. Kind of sucks for the ones that travel there and wont be there the next week.
I would suggest not going there cause of the cost. I have never been to a track that was that high priced, if your going bring along a lot of cash. We will never go back again. Hope this helps those that was thinking of going there. LOTS of CASH...
Read moreWent to the World Of Outlaws on Friday 6/15/18 and purchased reserved seating when we got there. Paid $111 for 3 seats and we had an AWESOME view of a fence and railing for the stairs to the area. I think that the people running the show should sit in places like this and see how crappy some of their seating is. We usually have a good time while at the races but because this was not disclosed to us about where exactly we would be sitting this made for a very...
