This is a late review, because for the life of me I couldn't remember the name of the place. I recently found a receipt, so I now know I'm writing a review on the right place. Over a year ago (Sept 2012) I had an amp installed in a Honda CRV and it wasn't done correctly. I don't remember the installer's name, but I remember it took a very long time and some of it was due to him spending time with his girlfriend while working on my car and also spending time going back and forth between other cars that came in after mine. I figured it was my fault for waiting instead of just dropping the car off and coming back. I thought at worst, it was unprofessional, but that isn't why I am writing a bad review. When the installer brought me out to listen to the completed work, I said it didn't sound right. I asked if he bridged the amp and it was obvious to me he had no idea what I was talking about. He said it would "self bridge". The speakers must be wired correctly to bridge this amp, so I figured it was probably just because he didn't know how to hook up the speakers and figured I would just fix the wiring after I left. I was able to bridge the amp correctly, but it didn't sound like it has in the past. I took it to another install place and the installer there said it was probably due to the fact the installer at Expert Car Audio didn't wire it to the subwoofer output. I paid $173 to get the amp installed at Expert Car Audio and then had to spend over another $100 to have it fixed by another car audio place. After the 2nd car audio place installed the amp correctly (to the subwoofer output), the Honda CRV was now bumping like it should. I've had these speakers installed with the same amp in previous cars, so I knew how hard it could bass and knew when I left Expert Car Audio it wasn't done correctly. Not sure if the installer was just new to the trade and untrained or just not up on the latest technology, but he surely didn't care when I said something wasn't right and it didn't sound like it used to. I was rushed right out. Wanted to post this review in hopes I could save other customers from the extra time and cost it took to fix the incorrect install from Expert Car Audio. If it doesn't sound right...there may...
Read moreI am so grateful that this shop was referred to me. Not only is Jim very knowledgeable but super nice guy, too. My first interaction was him trying to help me when I was in a bind for a part and tracked one down and could have it the next morning. Since then, he and Gavin have had both my pursuits up there for many different things. I doubt if there isn't anything they can't do. I've seen high-end sports cars, Prevost tour busses, heavy machinery, and regular vehicles. These are my go-to guys for ANY level of electronics. They have done stereos, lights, and backup cameras, traced down blown fuses, and programmed specialty emergency lighting. I can't say enough good things, and if Expert Car Audio was already in use by them, I'd suggest it because they truly know what...
