Taco Rey — Restaurant in Grand Prairie

Tacos were not on menu being dialing monitors. So I asked for 2 tacos with fajita although fajita was not on the menu either. I asked for charro beans. The tacos look dry and lifeless. Definitely not made with love. Another unusual thing was the half potato in the tray. Interesting. I’m not a fan of the beans. It resembles menudo to me. Looked like it has a tomato base, few beans in bowl of juice and slices of fat in it. Overpriced compared to others.salsa tastes like fishy pizza sauce. 🤦🏽‍♀️ naw I won’t return

I have only had the (Trompo) burger so far and I was impressed by the size of it. It was massive, messy, and more than I could eat. I paid 11.50 +tax and it was worth the price. It came with as burger and crinkle fries. Nothing special about the fries. I feel there might be too many different condiments on the burger because the breading goes soggy pretty quick. The flavor of the trompo was lacking just a little but it gave the burger a different texture layer that I enjoyed. I’m definitely giving them another try, since their tacos and burritos...

Not a bad little taco place. It’s right across the street from another taco place that is also good as well which is funny. But do keep in mind that the tacos are a bit “pricey” but honestly they are pretty good. The Trompo Burger is also pretty amazing. Very loaded so it will fill you up completely.
