Terrifying experience. My best friend and I went to go see Cabrini tonight and we bought tickets and candy, and brought our tickets up to the ticket guy. He was staring at us weirdly, but I dismissed it and we went into the theater. I wasn't a huge fan of being the only ones in the theater, but sometimes that's how it is. Well, when we were adjusting into our seats the same guy comes in, asking us, "How old are you guys?" We are in our twenties (???) and he asked us to show him our IDs. This was uncalled for because first of all, this was a PG-13 movie and 2nd of all, we did not buy alcohol, obviously. We showed him our IDs and he still questioned us. Finally he dismissed it and left. My friend and I then had to go to the bathroom. Feeling slightly weird, we took our purses with us. As we walked down the hall we saw the guy talking up a storm with who we think was the manager. He turned to us and again asked us our birth years. We told him and then went to the restroom. When we were coming back he still continued to bring it up and then apologized for bringing it up. We said it was fine and went into the theater. The movie began. Five minutes later the manager guy came up behind my friend quick as a jet and scared her so much she screamed and clutched her heart. He said, "Show me your IDs." We did and then he said, "I'm going to let y'all off with a warning." Angered, we said, "Why?" And he said, "You can't bring popcorn into the theater." We had brought our own popcorn but who doesn't?! I wouldn't even have cared if they had just confiscated our popcorn, but even then, what the heck is the point of checking our IDs twice and making us feel so creeped out? So uncalled for. We apologized but honestly they were targeting us and we felt violated. Well, it got worse. The film started and I felt an uneasy feeling like we were being watched. I turned around and saw the guy standing behind us and watching us. Ten minutes later he left and a new guy came in and sat right behind us, watching us. Thirty minutes later, he left. I looked at my friend and was like, "What the heck?" Then she said, "The guy is back." I looked behind and the manager guy had returned, watching us. Throughout the rest of the movie (to much distraction of a beautiful film) they kept coming in and out and we'd hear the creak of the door and heard the literal breathing of the guys over our shoulder. We felt so much anxiety and began to suspect they knew when the movie would end and be waiting for us. So, ten minutes out from the film's end my friend asked if I wanted to leave. To be honest, I had told her I wanted to leave at the beginning of the film but at that point we thought maybe they would leave us alone. But no. So we left out the other exit door with great anxiety. I am still paranoid currently. It was truly terrifying and if you are a young woman, do not come to this theater. Honestly, this was so scary and to think it's the staff is worse. I'm sure there are good people working here, but whoever these men were, I never want to see them again so we will never come back and hope everyone can know about our experience to...
Read moreI am usually not one to leave reviews, but I am extremely disappointed in how much this establishment has gone downhill. This has been one of the go-to movie locations for "date night" since 2019,but I have decided that last nights visit will be our last visit.
For starters, the staff has become extremely unprofessional. They are playing and joking while taking your order (especiallywhen we are rushing to get food and get seated before our movie starts). They also are having what I assume are team meetings out in the open while customers are waiting to be helped. We have also had issues with the lights being turned on inside of the theater before the movie has even gone off, making it hard to see the screen to watch the end of the movie.
We have been to this location probably 4 times in the last 3 months and 2 out of the the 4 times, we have attempted to place an order for food and have been told that they are out of pizza and wings. Each time that we have been told this has been during a 9pm movie or later, so I'm beginning to wonder if they are really out of food or if they have just decided to stop cooking food after a certain time. Either way, how do you promote yourself as a movie and pizza pub if customers are always being told that the pizza and wings out of stock?? It is extremely irritating to me to save my appetite for my movie date only to get to the movies to be told that all they have are nachos and popcorn.
The bathrooms also are usually filthy and out of paper towels.
From now on, if I want a "basic" movie experience, then I will just go across the street to Cinemark 16 where the service is better and the bathrooms are cleaner. Otherwise, we will just continue driving a little further up I-20 to Studio Movie Grill, where they don't conveniently run out...

We're NEVER returning, and I highly suggest you find another theater to see a movie unless you really want to: Hope the movie ACTUALLY PLAYS!! Our movie, an HOUR, after it was supposed to start, the staff finally admitted the projector was broken!! NO MOVIE!!! The lady behind us said this happens often.
When I went, along with the entire theater group, to get my refund, the sassy manager, tried to give me a gift card, UM NO, not coming back, refund please, and for the food too please! We wouldn't have been eating that if we WEREN'T planning on watching an actual MOVIE!!! Finally got 75% of tickets and food refunded, that took 18 minutes.
The manager was highly reluctant to give me her name, I finally got it though, and also got her Bosses info too!! His email is coming.
The other lady that was there, has been going often with her kids and stated how things have gone downhill a lot lately, this will be her last time there. She said there is often no carbonation in the soda machine, movies are usually late to start now- if they start at all, oh and for us today there was NO BUTTER in either of the popcorn machines.
And!!! When they sell you Dippin Dots, there is no lid, someone had just picked up their order with 2 cups on a tray, the cups slid right off and there were little frozen dots all over the place. Is the owner really too cheap for lids?? Too cheap for working projectors? Too cheap for clocks to tell the time to start movies ON TIME? Too cheap for carbonation??
Go elsewhere. We WASTED 1.5 hours to NOT see a movie we really...
