Ludemas Floral & Garden — Attraction in Grand Rapids

I'm absolutely thrilled with the service I received from Ludema's Floral and Garden. The floral arrangement they put together for the service was simply perfect - the colors, the arrangement of the blooms, everything was so beautifully done. But what really blew me away was the care they took with the delivery and setup. The arrangement arrived in flawless condition, and they took the time to carefully place it just so.

But the team at Ludema's went above and beyond by handwriting the personal note I had included right onto the arrangement itself. You can't imagine what a wonderful, thoughtful touch that was. It made the whole arrangement so much more meaningful and special. Out of all the floral arrangements that were at the service, this one from Ludema's really stood out head and shoulders above the rest - and that handwritten note was a huge part of why.

I came in on a Friday evening to get some fertilizer and decided I would grab another hanging basket. While out in the greenhouse I asked a worker if she could point me in the direction of the baskets that do well in the sun and she said "No, we are closed. We closed at 6pm. You can come back tomorrow in the morning when we are open and we can show you then."

I glanced at my watch and to my surprise it was only 2 minutes past their closing time!!! Additionally, they had a line in the front of the store with 4 or more customers waiting to check out so I was shocked that this employee bluntly refused to help me.

If she would have offered to assist me and then politely mentioned that they just closed I would have declined her offer for assistance and I would have left and came back in the morning.

Her refusal to help left me speechless, I have never been in a situation like that before and I was quite shocked to have that occur at my neighborhood...

I placed my order from Des Moines, Iowa, and was unfamiliar with the floral shops in Grand Rapids. I was extremely happy with the process. I called the shop to discuss an order and was assisted by Lindsey. She was extremely helpful. A couple of times she went out to check the inventory and reported back to me what was available. I told her she could call me back, which she did in a prompt manner. She explained my options (and I needed that kind of help). Lindsey helped me pick out something in my desired price range and was totally patient and gracious during our calls. Ludemas' is very fortunate to have Lindsey as an employee. In addition, the Grand Rapids couple for whom I purchased the arrangement (which included a yellow rose bush) LOVED IT! And the price was...
