My best friend and I visited this super fun spot this weekend and we were not disappointed! First off, the front of the store outside has a bubble machine going. Even in the rain, the bubbles were so fun and cute. They are only a small part of their adorable storefront. With big fake gummy bears, a giant happy hot dog and burger, and lots of other big fake food that catches your eye even when driving by.
The store inside is brightly colored and immediately enticing to the eyes. The big front windows fill the store with natural light even on a rainy day. The first impression I had was that this is a lovely clean space, inviting me in to discover more.
As someone in a wheelchair, this location is very handicap friendly. They are in an old building but I'm happy to report they have no door ledge and it's smooth right to the inside. There is a bit of an upwards slope from the sidewalk to the door but it's easily overcome with a little arm strength or a friendly push. The shelf displays out on the floor are spaced far enough apart that I could comfortably navigate my chair about without feeling like I was going to run into everything. There is a small bump inside toward the back of the store, but it's not bad. You can tell it's an old building, so one bump from a flooring transition is pretty decent. The checkout is a very high counter, which I would usually knock a star for, but the employee working was very polite and came around the counter to gather my basket from me and to return my items once done. She did it without me having to ask. I appreciated it so much and mostly because she did not make me feel like a bother for the small inconvenience. For handicap accessibility, I give the store 5/5⭐️
Now to the part everyone cares about the most. The candy selection!🤤🍬🍭🍫🍡 Holy cow this place has everything! From the good ole classic candies you grew up loving, to foreign candy like crazy KitKat flavors and Skittles from China, freeze-dried sweets, all the flavors of cotton candy you didn't know existed, every sour candy you love plus sour soda and Pickles, some handmade goodies, and so much more. I felt like every time I looked in an area I saw more things than I had the time before.
You can tell the displays are meticulously assembled with love and care. The front window is so cute, and all the shelves are neat and well-kept for how many different items they have on each. They do have a few adorable purses for sale I was not expecting to see as well.
I could keep going on, but I'll leave some stuff as a surprise for you. I wish I'd taken better photos. I got the front of the store from the car as we left, and I shared some pictures of my haul.
Definitely make a stop here if you're in the area and love...
Read moreI’m so grateful for this thoughtfully curated and inclusive candy shop. They have it all: vintage candies for the boomers and millennials, favorites for the kids, fancy international treats, and cheap bulk candy. We are regulars! Sometimes we come in and spend $30 on candy, sometimes just a gift card for a kid birthday party, sometimes we come in and spend $1. No matter what, we always have an exceptional experience and a kind conversation with Kara who is usually working the register. Can you find candy for a lower price elsewhere? Maybe, but you’d miss out on the Willy Wonka kid in a candy store experience. Also, I prefer to shop local! Keep up the great work,...
Read moreSticky Fingers is bad news for anyone with a candy addiction (like myself). In all seriousness, this place has such a fun selection of sweet and savory treats. I feel like a kid when I look around and marvel at the unique snacks and the wall of miniature items for sale. The owners and employees are as sweet as the goods they sell. When (not if) you visit this store, look around at the decor. They made all of the Halloween decor by hand!! I'm impressed with the time and detail they put into their window display and spooky creatures that adorn the shop walls and ceiling. I'm excited to see what they make for the...
