Cottage Inn Pizza Eastown Grand Rapids — Restaurant in Grand Rapids

I've gone to this place many times, and sadly I had one experience that has made it so I will personally never go back. On 10/12/2024, I ordered a pizza and garlic cheesebread. The wait time on the only website said 30 minutes, and sometimes I can tell it fluctates depending on how busy they are.

For whatever reason, when I arrived, I was informed my order wasn't even being prepared and would take atleast 30-40 minutes from when I came in at the min. I was a bit annoyed as they could have COMMUNICATED this to me to have me not waste my time and gas. Also the person that I spoke with was working on pizzas, and I noticed he had snot dripping from his nose which I personally think is absolutely unacceptable and disgusting if you are working OVER pizzas.

This is my second issue I've had with this place, the first being that they forgot items for one of my previous orders and made several uneven bread sticks for me, with some being as small and thin as a finger. I was offered reimbursement for this so I thought it was fine. But not for wasting my time coming out there.

That's all it takes for me personally, I will take my business elsewhere to other pizza places that have lasted the test of time, IE, Vitales, Peppinos. Never again...

From the moment I walked into Cottage Inn Pizza, I was met with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a great experience. From his friendly demeanor to his attention to detail, Ma’Lik made sure I felt valued and appreciated. It's rare to come across someone so genuinely committed to providing a top-notch customer experience.

The food, of course, did not disappoint—fresh, flavorful, and prepared just right. It was the perfect complement to the exceptional service I received. I left completely pleased with my visit and will absolutely be returning.

The service is great here. The flavor of their pizza is wonderful! My only complaint is the bottom of their crust is always extremely dirty with burnt residue from the dirty pizza screens they cook the pizza on. I used to come to this location frequently. However, I started noticing that the crust of my pizza would always have black burnt screen shavings cooked onto the bottom. Does this location ever invest in new screens to cook the pizza on? Does this location ever clean the screens before cooking the pizza? I will not be spending my money at this location anymore. Again, great service! Very kind customer service representatives.
