Escape enthusiasts with lots of experience. We went out of the way to try two rooms. The rooms were linear, which means one puzzle at a time. It is not good for large groups because people will stand around waiting for someone to solve a puzzle before moving forward. Some of the puzzles were not difficult, but just time consuming. The rooms were well decorated. One room had a great cabin theme and the build out was nice, but a secondary room was completely random and did not fit the theme at all. It seemed like a contractor owns the business and his son decided the theme of this random side room. There was no story telling. Another wonderful session, this time with family. Jordan and crew do such a great job of making reservations, check-in, and delivering instructions for the experience.
This was my third time with Iron Gate, and I can't wait for promised updates and perhaps even more exciting things in their future.
SOMETHING FUN TO DO is a much-needed and appreciated venue in quaint Grass Valley.
Love, love, love!
I can't recommend this activity enough!
The kiddos and I enjoyed our escape room adventure very much. We tried the Into The Woods room and managed to escape with less than 30 seconds left on the clock. What a thrill!
Grass Valley and Nevada City have nice shops, dining experiences, theater, wine tasting, live music...
But THIS! This is something a family, kids group, bunco group, church group...ANY group...will enjoy.
They've done a fantastic job of putting each room together for a fully...

It’s a little intimidating but all that went away as we were greeted by the hosts and made to feel really comfortable. My family loves puzzles and games so the creativity that we found here did not disappoint! Pure entertainment. This is just what Grass Valley and Nevada City needs to round out the Gold Country experience. Locals and tourists alike, if you are googling things to do in Grass Valley, you have to check this out. The new Mill Street is beautiful too! We walked to dinner afterwords and couldn’t stop talking about the fun time. We will...
