Besides the rooms being worth half the price if that.. the lady who claims to be the general manager told me I couldn’t reserve a room. Then i go online and reserve a room. So she lied about that. When I called back to let her know I reserved it she said I still need to hurry an get there Because my money is non refundable an that’s when she’s closing up. Came off pretty strange so much so I asked “are you saying that the rooms are still first come first serve though I ordered it online and reserved it?” She said no . I thought to myself well why are you rushing me? So she said that she’s closing at 1030.. then said 11. I was confused by her lack of communication skills I had to ask questions. She was not patient nor kind at all especially once I asked questions being that I’m a paying customer. I asked well why are you telling me two different times? She was saying she does books at 1030. So if business hours close at 11pm you shouldn’t rush the customer by saying 1030 just because you want to be lazy an get off early. Books should be done once you close . Don’t make the customer feel like I need to hurry up or else my money will be taken as a result if I don’t get there because of your selfish lazy agenda. When I got to the register she was rude especially when I asked who the owner was. She wouldn’t tell me. She said she’s the highest up. How can a general manager be the highest up? She also claimed to be the boss. The owner is the only boss, (you know the one that actually put up the money for the place) she didn’t claim ownership when I asked but she claimed to be the boss which is the same thing . She didn’t give me the information she got frustrated from me asking her in a respectful professional way she slammed the pen and paper down for me to sign my signature. She also made it seem as if I was the issue rather than her a bit narcissistic. I told her peace and love she couldn’t even tell me the room number. Such a rude miserable person . I almost feel bad but I don’t simply because how she talked to me knowing that I’m a paying customer . I felt like my money was hostage and I wouldn’t get it back if I wanted to go else where. Why? I WAS VERY POLITE WHEN I TOLD HER THAT I WASN'T DISRESPECTFUL TOWARDS HER JUST BECAUSE I FELT THAT MY COLD WAS NOT SAFE BECAUSE SHE WASN'T! THE HOTEL ROOM WAS PRACTICALLY SITTING IN THE PARKING LOT AND I HAD BEEN ASKED BY AT LEAST 3 PEOPLE IF I KNEW WHERE TO GET DRUGS. THERE WERE NO BATH PLUGS TO TAKE HER A BATH AND WHEN I WENT TO ASK. .THEY HANDED ME A RAG AND TOLD ME THEY DIDN'T HAVEN'T ANYMORE. .THEN I WANTED TO BLOW DRY MY HAIR AND HAD TO UNPLUG THE FRIDGE BECAUSE THE OUTLETS WERE BLOWN OUT! WHEN I TRIED TO CALL THE OFFICE I FIGURE OUT THAT THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE PHONES IN THE ROOMS! I DON'T CARE HOW CHEAP A ROOM IS. .IN 33 YEARS I HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE WITHOUT A BASIC PHONE! . I TRIED TO BE KIND ABOUT IT BUT SHE TOLD ME SHE WOULD ESCORT ME OFF THE PROPERTY BY THE POLICE IF I DIDN'T SHUT MY MOUTH BECAUSE IM RUINING HER REPUTATION BY CLAIMING MY CHILD TO BE UNSAFE AND I REPLIED THAT MY CLAIM ISN'T ABOUT HER HOTELS REPUTATION. .IT'S ABOUT MAKING SURE MY CHILD IS SAFE AND I TRIED TO EXPLAIN THAT IT WASN'T PERSONAL AND SHE FLIPPED OUT AND TOLD ME TO SHUT UP! I JUST SHOOK MY HEAD AND JUST WALKED INTO MY ROOM WHERE SHE STOOD NEXT TO IT WITH HER FRIEND AND WAS LISTENING AT MY DOOR! THEN WHEN I CAME OUT 10 MINUTES LATER SHE WALKED AND STARED AT ME THE ENTIRE TIME LIKE SHE HAD SOMETHING TO PROVE. . I AM JUST SO SHOCKED THAT ANYONE WOULD BE MANAGING A BUSINESS WITH THIS KIND OF INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR. IT WAS OBVIOUS SHE HAD BEEN DRINKING AND WAS DROPPED OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT BY A TAXI RIGHT IN THE PARKING LOT! AT LEAST SHE WASN'T DRIVING HERSELF. . I GOT A RUDE WAKE UP IN THE MORNING WHERE SHE KNEW SHE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO PROVIDE A REFUND FOR THE REMAINDER NIGHTS. .. SHE TOLD US WE HAD 15 MINUTES AND IF I HAD SPOKEN A WORD TO HER SHE WOULDN'T REFUND US. .. I WAS JUST GLAD TO GET OUT OF THE AND YOU BETTER BELIEVE I WAS OUT OF THERE IN LESS THAN 10. .....
Read moreI stayed at this motel last April and found it to be lacking in amenities and maintenance* (see below) but the room was clean and comfortable enough that I made another reservation several days ago for this Labor Day weekend. The manager, “Nett,” had been friendly in April and had appeared eager to please guests. But I was concerned that a couple of very bad reviews posted only a month ago meant the motel might not have corrected problems identified in earlier reviews and I was worried I might have a bad experience. When I expressed my concern, rather than promising to exceed my expectations, Nett denied any bad reviews, claimed her reviews were good, and cancelled my reservation. Her interests would be better served by correcting any deficiencies and heeding bad reviews, rather than denying they exist. Rather than turning away guests willing to give her a chance despite some bad reviews, she does herself no good by denying problems. I’m a model guest, too – the type of guest every motel should want. I don’t smoke, drink, peddle drugs, make noise, or invite questionable guests. I’m so clean I squeak, and I always leave a room clean and neat. It’s her loss. I don’t expect her to contact me to apologize. Instead, I expect to be permanently blacklisted from her motel. It’s enough to make me wonder what type of clientele she’s trying to attract.||||*During my stay last April I found: No ice machine, no dial tone on recently installed used phone (previously had no phones), sink drain line clogged and "maintenance man" off on weekend & motel unwilling to call outside plumber, AC slow to start at times, coarse flannel bed sheets, skimpy supplies of TP and soap, kleenex dispenser present but empty, thin bath towel, motel hard to find at night because sign not lit. But the motel appeared to have been improved since the 2015 bad reviews were written, just had more to do. But given Nett’s dismissal of bad reviews and her refusal to rent to anybody who asks for a better experience, I doubt things...
