This desert garden was amazing and perfect for visitors to the area to learn about native plants. Beautiful plants, beautiful plantings, and signs marking what many of the plants are. There are plenty of occasional benches throughout the gardens. There was also a picnic area with a picnic table or two if you want to bring your lunch. Read moreWow! Green Valley Gardeners know what they are doing! Never expected such a high level free desert park. If you are a desert gardener or working on desert plant identification, this is for you. Many lovely "spaces" created with whimsical materials or themes. Bring $ to purchase a variety of cactus plants or soil at their honor system outside garden store. Easy to socially distance here during these covid times. Much bigger than expected. Easy to add a walk or bike ride by getting on the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail, along the backside of the Park. Google Maps doesn't show the Juan Bautista de Anza trail which heads north to Sahaurita and south about 9 miles (based on the mile markers). If you like this Park, check out Green Valley Gardener's Arid Garden too, free and a short...
