I don’t know if you’re a parent like me or if you can relate to this or not, but my 9 y/o despises being in the house. So, to be the best dad I can, I decide to go take him to the movies.
It was on a Friday afternoon around 4:15pm to see a 4:30pm showing of Minions. It was one of few kids shows that I also wanted to see. The matinee tickets was $7.45, regardless of age, which was the cheapest in the area.
Although I had been here before several times, I hadn’t noticed all the artwork on the walls. There is even a yellow brick road on the sidewalk leading to the entrance from the back, where there is additional parking.
They have a thing at the bottom of the entrance door where you can use your foot to open the door. The right side door was locked. I had only went on that side to see more of the artwork. On this day, we had to buy tickets at concession stand. Of course, you can buy online but there is typically a convenience fee.
At the concession stand, I observed them to sell craft beer, pretzels, slushes , beer on tap, various candies, popcorn, hotdogs, burgers, etc. My son opted to get a pretzel and I got a medium popcorn and drink. I got my son a small drink. The pretzel was $5.50. A small drink was $4.50. It’s $1 for each size up. If you want a slushie, it’s $1 more than the cost of a regular/fountian drink. The popcorn is $5.50 for small, $6.75 for medium, and $8.75 for large. The only combo they have is for a large popcorn and drink for $14.50. The tickets and the food was about $32, which isn’t bad.
I stopped by the restroom before going to the assigned theater. The restroom was clean. There was a baby changing station along with air dryer and paper towels. They have hand sanitizers in the stalls and above the baby changing station that you can use a paper towel with to clean prior to use, which is pretty cool. The trashcan was in an odd spot as it was towards the exit versus actually in the restroom.
Our movie was in theater 10. We were the only ones there. I think they start their movies on time, lol. We walked in around 4:35 and the movie had already started. This theater had stadium seating that didn’t recline. The seats are pretty close to each other. So if it was packed, it would be difficult to get past people. Overall, I recommend...
Read moreTheater 10 has multiple broken seats in top rows so seating was very limited. We had to sit in second row from screen and near rear exit door. A tree company was cutting down trees directly behind theater and you could hear chain saws, wood chipper, and workmen yelling to each other over the sound of chain saws and wood chipper during the movie. It was so loud it was difficult to hear or focus on movie. I kept hoping noise was going to stop. Halfway through movie, I couldn’t stand the noise any longer so I went looking for a manager. I explained situation to the manager and he acted like he had no idea of what I was talking about . I asked him to come listen to the noise. He went into theater listened briefly and left. He never apologized. When I was waiting to speak to manager, I was telling custodian about the noise and he told me there are people working on property. As I was leaving theater, I drove near the back of theater and the driveway directly behind it was taped off with caution tape, wood chipper and several trees stumps. It looks like there are many more trees to be cut. I realize the work needs to be done during business hours. The theater should not play the movies in the theaters near worksite while the work is being done. I am disappointed I could not enjoy the movie and the manager didn’t even care enough to apologize. I will never return to this dirty noisy theaters with poor management. Only reason I went there was for the movie. I have known for years to avoid this theater because it has always been dirty but I couldn’t believe how many broken seats there are in Theater 10. The carpet needs to be vacuumed and the cup holders on seat arms are filled with garbage. Do yourself a favor and avoid...
Read moreWe recently went to see Wakanda Forever last Thursday. I purchased tickets online prior to going not knowing they do not assign seats. So I went to the theater to pick up our tickets and inquired about the seating. The young lady stated they have OPEN seating. With this in mind, we decided to come two hours early with it being opening night to make sure we got good seats. We get there and the five of us were first in line and saw people IN WHITE attire start to pour into the theatre. We thought “great we’re first in line, so seating shouldn’t be an issue”. Once we enter after waiting an hour and a half, we start to walk up to the top seats and were stopped by one of the people in ALL WHITE! He was accompanied by another woman and began to inform us that they had reserved all 67 seats and we had to take the remaining seats ON TOP of the screen. They then had another theater worker stand and guard all the seats as the people in ALL WHITE continue to pour in many extremely LATE!! And to add insult to injury, there was a photographer taking pictures INSIDE THE MOVIE that we had to tell NOT to take OUR PICTURE!! Which is an invasion of PRIVACY!! The manager took my name email address and phone number as well as a few other furious patrons and stated the district manager would be contacting us. It has been almost a WEEK and NO ONE has contacted me. I WILL BE making a trip to the theatre for a FULL REFUND and NEVER returning again!! Now I know why I hadn’t been back to this theater since Passion of the Christ!!!! Simply BAD...
