If I could have given this place a negative star I would have. All though my experience was a year ago, I will forever be reminded how disgusted I am with this place around my sonās birthday. I had been a patron of Delicious for 7 years, buying all of my childrenās birthday cakes from them. Over the last 3-4 years, I noticed the same skill set and neatness just wasnāt the same. I donāt know if there were new decorators or what. But anytime I asked for a detailed cake, I didnāt have any issue with paying the price. I just wanted to be given what I asked for like everyone else. My sonās birthday is close to a holiday so I didnāt want to get him a large cake to cut down on my childrenās sweet intake. To add, his birthday was the only one in the family that happened after the pandemic shut everything down. I asked for a 6ā round with a crown on top. I showed pictures of what I wanted. I PAID $80 FOR THIS CAKE!!! So I excepted it to look like something. I was told there could be jewels on it like the picture I showed, detailing of the crown and all. When I arrived, the cake was cracking on one side, it had blue fondant cut into diamond shapes, these ridiculously squiggly lines that weāre supposed to be the rope trim of the crown. It was NOT the quality of work I was expecting nor use to, especially not $80 for this little cake. They told me they would fix the crack. The manager comes over like heās Tony Soprano and heās about to put me in my place. He told me that he could add some glitter to the diamonds to make them shiny. When I told him that wasnāt what I wanted nor told, he cut me off saying thatās all they could do. If thatās the case, then there needs to be a decorator taking cake orders since theyāre the ones who know what can and canāt be done. That wasnāt the first time Iāve been told one thing by the cashier but received something different. I told him I was running late for work and I had to go. As Iām getting into my car door here comes this same large man approaching me. I was definitely caught off guard that he followed me to the parking lot. He changed his tone at this point and said that they would try to fix up the cake before I came back that afternoon. To sum it all up, I went back for the cake. It still didnāt look like what I asked for and definitely not $80. I usually paid $70 for their custom cakes and Iāve always ordered 9ā rounds!! There were several employees who tried to convince me the cake looked good āto THEMā. That just infuriated me even more. I just took the cake and left. The owner called and left me a message offering to make another cake for free. I will never go back to this place even with the offer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI called almost 2 weeks in advance to order desserts for my daughter's "night before wedding family dinner party". The manager who answered the phone seemed annoyed to answer questions or give suggestions as I was trying to decide on a few other desserts other than their pan of Tiramisu. He told me to look online and call back. I should have taken it as a bad sign but my daughter raved about their Tiramisu therefore I placed an order there anyway. I was asked for half the cost as a deposit upfront which I had no problem doing as it WAS a special order. We got there on the date we were supposed to pick up (an hour later than promised (and I did call) only to find out that two of the three desserts "they never made"! What bothered us most was their rudeness of the situation. and the nonchalant behavior as if it was no big deal. Telling us "we can have it tomorrow". The wedding is tomorrow and the dinner is tonight we explained. When manager stepped in to speak with us ...he provided no explanation but just that it is what it is and they messed up. No apology as well! And he wais the one who took the order and my $75 deposit. To resolve the issue. we were given a replacement plain cheesecake (when we ordered a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake ) and they made up the tray of Tiramisu as we waited. (The other item ordered.were heart shaped cake pops which were ready and were very good) We tried to call the owner many times. Was given the runaround. Finally she returned our call after our persistence. She apologized and that was it. There was a mix up with other baker she said and she thought we.cancelled. How is that possible when I already paid half? 22 cake pops were ready for us but the other two desserts were never made ..therefore unlikely orders was cancelled. . We didn't think quick enough as we should have asked for all our money back and would have gone next door to Fresh Market and get a few cakes there at half the cost ! Finally, I had planned on calling a few days before to check on order however I felt they would perhaps be insulted. It seemed ridiculous for me to do that and I figured they are in business a long time and they know what they are doing AND I already paid them half. Well ok ... mistakes can be made but there is a proper way to handle them!! The $45 cheesecake went in the garbage....the several people who tried it mentioned a weird texture and taste to it. Very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs I celebrated my 60th birthday, I was excited to purchase a simple elegant white cake. It was about the design, so I visited the location several times and found a picture of a cake for the ladyās luncheon. Instructions were given including the picture of the cake, with a delegate white flower. They recommended 2-tier cake, so I agreed to the recommended option. How disappointed I was when the cake arrived without any flower topping at all, I plan cake for a celebration that took me months to plan. I mentioned and provided a picture of the cake topping to include. Delicious Bakery took no responsibility in mishandling such a simple request, yet want to blame me because they didnāt verify the details with their baker. Please think twice before placing your memories into their hands. Was this a form of laziness on the side of Lori or the baker. The sad part is the owner and representative just didn't care.
The staff appears not to be on top of the orders, as they were going to charge again during the pickup of the cake, that had been paid in full.
Should have gone with the single layer.

admin@delicious-cakes.com May 25, 2025, 9:37āÆAM Since this is a semi naked cake, aesthetically, it would look better for both tiers to be the same flavor, at least the cake part. You can use different filling
