Worst customer service ever. This is a long review but that’s because there was a lot of problems. I have had two birthday parties there in the last few months and I was lied to multiple times.
Issue #1: At the first party I had a child that was coming late and I was told that I could just pay for them a normal 1 hour jump time (when the child came) and this ticket didn’t have to be paid as part of the party. I thought this was strange because the ticket prices are different but I thought if there is a cheaper way to add on additional people after the minimum number of child is met that’s great. That brings me to by second party where I asked if I could do this and was told by a manager that I couldn’t and that his employees would have never told me this. The same employee was working my party that told me this ands she admitted she told me this but no apology or explanation.
Issue#2: I had some parents that wanted to jump and I was told they were full so they couldn’t although I could see people in the free jump line purchasing tickets to jump. I asked about this I was told these people reserved spots online and are paying for them now. This is untrue and a lie as you can’t reserve free jump time online without paying online. So I had a parent get in that line and they were able to purchase free jump tickets even though we were still being told they were full and couldn’t. I was later told that there was a problem with their system and they weren’t full even though one computer showed they were, although no apology.
Issues #3: I had a coupon for a free 1 hour of jump and I asked if I could use it and was told you can’t use it for parties and you wouldn’t be able to use it today anyway because it is only for certain jump times which weren’t now. I had a parent jump in the other line and they were about to get a ticket with the coupon without issue.
Issue #4: We had 16 people in the party and I knew that, but the party planner didn’t have a clue. When we got to the party room I told her we were missing a child and she said that we only had 15 kids. I knew this was wrong and I went and found the kid.
Issue#5: When I paid I told them the amount looked incorrect and they were charging me for 17. She looked at the receipt and gave it back to me and said it was for 15 kids and it was right. I got out my phone and showed her on the calculator that it was wrong. At this point someone was helping her and pointed out to her there were 16 kids. She changed the charge to be for 16 but not apology or explanation for trying to over charge me.
Issues#6: Some of the workers weren’t paying attention to the jumpers. So were good and some weren’t and I saw...
Read moreWe had a birthday party for my daughter yesterday at the Skyzone in Grimes. The girls had a great time. A couple of things that we would have liked to have known going into it. We paid for the jumping separate for the party part (we paid pay for food/party in advance so they can order it and the balance of the bill at checkout). We’ve had parties there before and there was an attendant/helper that was proactively setting things up, providing us information, helping us clean up, moving a cart of gifts into the party room etc. We were always appreciative of their help and tipped accordingly. Last night the person didn’t do anything except push the cart over to the room. Never came into the room after that point except to clean a weird substance off the floor at our request (the room was still dirty from party right before ours and we cleaned up the room except for that substance). At checkout the guy asked for a tip (again, after having done almost nothing). My wife and I used to be servers so we usually tip well but were surprised at being put on the spot by a guy that did almost nothing. We reluctantly agreed to the percentage that he asked for, and that wasn’t even the worst part. He applied the percentage to the entire bill which amounted to about $66 just for the tip for a guy that didn’t do anything. We paid approximately $190 for food, and approximately $140 for jumping and $66 for a tip. Charge me for a tip for the food/party seems reasonable, but applying a tip percentage to the jumping seems inappropriate. When you add to that the fact that we had non-existent service it all-in-all left a bad taste in my mouth. We probably could have protested the tip amount but we were put on the spot and we take pride in how we tip so we let it go. This was the last birthday party we will host there. 3 stars because the kids had fun but if we based this rating solely on the service provided and what we got compared to what we paid for, it would probably have been one star.
One more thing, there are a lot of different things for the kids to do there but little to no supervision by staff on places where you would think a supervisor was needed. For example, in the brief period the wipeout inflatable was actually working, there were long lines because there was no one limiting and managing the kids that were on it. Not a big deal but it definitely made it so lines didn’t move quickly for...
Read moreLet me just start out by saying what a joke this place turned out to be! Rude staff and management seem to be the most common problem all over the U.S and yet their only concern is getting your money. The price is simply not worth the little amount of time that you get to jump, especially when you want to play dodge ball. When the rules change they don’t apply to every single kid that comes in there. My fiancé and I come every Saturday night and the rules were changed without notice. Originally you were able to catch a ball and let another teammate in. This kept the game flowing smoothly so that kids were not stuck sitting out for long amounts of time since our time is limited. Well that all changed when they decided to make it a rule that if you get out you are out for the entire game until the very last kid gets out. When you try and complain to staff or management their excuse is that “we are understaffed and kids are getting aggressive” With dodge ball, it is a game of throwing balls and getting aggressive. If you are going to have kids less than 6 years old play with older kids and adults you are not even following your own rules with making it safe and fun for all ages. Younger kids should not even be playing in the same zone as the older kids. That is why they have another smaller zone for dodge ball for little kids. If you are so under-staffed then how can you run a place without regards for safety? There are way too many kids in the dodge ball area, and every time we go in there they state that there is only “one person to a square” There is over 30 kids in the dodge ball area and only one staff member watching. You got high school kids running this place with no respect for those that pay good money to come here every weekend, and a good-for-nothing manager that doesn't even know how to run the place. I sure hope parents and other people think twice about dishing their money out for this place. It is dangerous, over populated, under-staffed, and a waste of money and time! Take your money elsewhere you...
