I went into this new Subway on 7/9/2020 at 3:30 p.m., and it was nothing like I expected it would be. I went in getting what I normally do, a turkey salad. Now, I work in the restaurant industry and I know that working with customers can be a pain sometimes, but that doesn't mean that you treat that customer any differently or get lazy with your job. People go out to eat to save them self the trouble of cooking at home after a Long Day's of hard work. Now, as I watched this gentleman prep my salad I noticed that the portions were terribly small, ((not to memtion that it looked like a toddler threw it together carelessly)) By the time that my salad was completely done and made, my plastic container wasn't even half full. I ignored the fact that my portions were small, and politely asked if he could toss/chop my salad ((like they normally do)) he then proceeded to tell me that Subway no longer chopps their salads in the bowls. I go to Subway a couple times every week and I have never had these issue. I love their salads, but I can tell you that I will not be going to the newest Subway any longer. You would think that with the Subway in Grimes being the newest that they would step up their game......
Read moreThis location has a drive up window. I’ve tried it 3 times since it opened the first time the wind was so strong it wasn’t worth the hassle so I went inside. The second time it was out of order. The third time it finally went through but since this location does not have a intercom system where you can talk to a live person to order you have to manually type in your order on a touchscreen I was sitting at the window for several minutes without anyone coming to take my payment. Finally someone came up and apologize that there’s no notification bell when the order has gone through so me and the person behind me had not had their order started after a pretty long wait. I was clearly irritated so the gentleman did apologize and offered me a discount which actually ended up Only being $.50 off my total purchase. I asked for a free bag of chips which they did give me but they had to check with the manager first. Since my first one star review I’ve gone ahead and decided to just go inside for my sandwiches and it’s been a five-star experience. I don’t think I’ll use the drive-through at this location but the staff here is friendlier than in the past and I’m glad I gave them...

And, after completing our lunch, we felt that we had made the right choice to stop at this specific Subway. Since, we are pure vegetarians, and being allergic to meat or beef or turkey, even before we started mentioning this to Crystal, she read our minds, and she immediately washed her hands clean and changed the hand gloves, before catering to us, which came across very professional and customer friendly. We ordered Foot Long - Veggie Delites for our family. She paid great attention to all our minute details on the choice of the ingredients, and made sure that we got served with the best sub, the way we had desired. And she did all this with a sweet smile on her face, without grumbling, or, showing any frustration.
