Dollar General — Local services in Grimes

Ok so I enjoy shopping at DG and use your digital coupons everytime I'm in the store however it never fails that one if not more of the coupons ring up regular price. Saturday I had 3 items not ring up with the discount. And I bought the correct items. The stores I go into never have enough help. They say they're overworked and not enough pay. Then when we're trying to figure out the coupons there's a long line and the sales clerk gets frustrated. Rightly so as she'd been there fir 10 hours already and then gets angry with the customer. This has happened on many occasions and in different stores. I'm tired of seeing this. I don't use my digital coupons in one store when this sales clerk is working cause I know it'll be a battle at the check out and I didn't have to go thru that but neither should she. Also when you have sales in one store lets say the Christmas items are all a quarter and your have the xmas boxes but they're telling customers they're not a quarter when all the other stores are. She wouldn't even ring it up for me to check. I knew they would ring up a quarter. Evidently she wanted them. I don't know but it's ridiculous. All 4 stores I go to have different sales. When 1 store has a sale on something I'll go to another store and they tell me it's not on sale!! Also the store in Madrid Iowa sent all their xmas items back except the candy and they were only 50%off. Why wouldn't the want the customers to enjoy the sales of their xmas items. I don't get it. Worse store on planet. Manager and her daughter keep 6 month daughter in store while working and while checking me out they hold her in her arms when I asked how come that’s not safe to have her there they said well not everyone can afford sitter so if I don’t like it I can leave. Manager screamed while customers are there using F words and said this is my store I can do what I want and to never ask her again about that. So unprofessional. Ex employee of theirs says they are so bad he would rather be homeless than work for them. If I can give half star I would. Oh I waited 15 minutes at register while they were smoking in their cars and was told they need breaks too and she makes rules there not customers. Worse store on planet. I'm definitely not spending my money here again. Went in last weekend during the evening for a couple of things. Proceeded to the counter, where behind sat a lady. Seeing as I was 6 feet away from her, I figured she saw and heard me place my items on the counter to be scanned. She didn't notice. I stood there for a few minutes because I didn't want to be rude, but eventually, I was able to get her attention. She acted annoyed, scanned the items, and as I was putting my card info in, she was scrolling on her cellphone! What kind of customer service is that? It was disrespectful and disgusting.
