My wife and I indulged in a date night and enjoyed every minute of it. We started the evening at The Sloop, right around the corner from the South Baldwin Community Theatre, for a delicious dinner with friends. We then made the quick walk to Big Beach Brewery for some pre-play libations, after which we ventured to the Theatre for their spooky season play, POE.
It's probably been since high school that we actively read anything Edgar Allen Poe, so the play brought back memories and spurred discussion for most of the drive home.
Everything about our time spent in this community theatre was fun and engaging. The volunteers and organizers out-did themselves with the theatre décor, intermission snacks, and hospitality.
The play itself was fun and energetic with strong actors and actresses giving great performances. Makeup and costumes were noticeable and elevated the production. The show captured the essence(s) of the stories and made for a very enjoyable evening. We plan to return for future...
Read moreMy neice performed in Mary Poppins Jr and she excelled. This theater has helped so many kids. They ranged in lots of different ages these kids where so wonderful. Mrs James the director was amazing. All of the other volunteers where great as well. I helped do costumes and anything else they needed. We all donate our time. I got to know some really wonderful people and really was impressed by all the kids and some young adults as well. We cant wait for stuart little auditions.
