Everytime we've been here (5 times) we end up at a different part of it, wondering what part exactly we were in before.. It's expansive, has many different areas (around the water, a very large park for kids, bike areas, large grass areas, a track to run around, baseball field, nature areas, etc) and I feel like you're always going to find new parts of it that you didn't know existed before. One day we got lost and found a small waterfall area that we've been trying to find again ever since, and have just come up short everytime. It's a very large park, and it has a ton of areas to park in, so if one parking lot appears full, keep going, you'll find another! Great place to fly a kite, hold a game of football or Frisbee, walk or run, or skateboard or bike. It's located around safe residential areas. The one downside is that cars drive around and the road is right next to parts of the walking path on the outer edge. Regardless, beautiful park, kept in great condition, and something for everyone there! It's one of our favorite...
Read moreWhile the facility is newer looking and present a fresh appearance this review will only address the second floor space where I attended a function. The accommodations are nicely presented and the decor isn’t overly garish or overwhelming. Great sight lines and views from the available windows and the event space is a typical layout for a reception. The space is separated by a dance floor with equal space on either side. The only issue with this venue is the available spaces for food service. Because of the space being shaped like a wide rectangle, when accommodating a crowd of 120 there isn’t enough space to serve via buffet stations. You have to exit the room to basically hallways to gather your food. Not an ideal situation. This will be a great space for a smaller gathering of 80 people to properly accommodate the food service. And parking is at a premium. Get there early or park somewhat far away from the facility. It only has about 40 or so onsite parking with street and lot parking across from...
Read moreVast park with many hidden areas that are off of the beaten path, although these areas in particular are polluted by litter and in need of our attention, our responsibility to occasionally give some effort to preserve or clean up the lands we all share. I've noticed a large increase in small baggies and little jars littered all around the big gazebo. I wonder about a person who throws trash on the ground less then 10 feet away from several trash cans in any direction. One would have to walk past 2 trash cans on the way to use the gazebo area for recreational activities, seemingly recreational drug use mostly, and then ignoring multiple trash cans working their field of view looking any direction and deposit the not-so-biodegradable packaging such as 1 inch plastic bags like mini ziplock bags and similarly sized plastic jars on the ground before leaving, walking near the same trash cans passed on the way in. I just want my rant here to bring attention to this...
