I made two appointments for my father received a voicemail and multiple texts confirming the appointment, requesting to come at 0815 instead of 0830. I arrived at 0810, was texted to fill out registration information online that I had already uploaded and to take pictures of his radiology orders, his license, and his insurance card. We were then informed via this form and the text to not get out of the car and to await a text to be called back. We waited and received a phone call asking where we were at 0836. At this point we’ve been sitting in the car for almost half an hour at instructions received from this group. When I told whoever called me we were waiting at the car on their instructions I was told, albeit super politely, that we could make our way in. When we arrived we had to give the insurance and license to be scanned again. I asked them why we were directed to do something and why we were scanning the information again and was just given an apology. While the receptionist was kind and helpful, I don’t understand why a major facility could not coordinate or be uniform in directions. As a healthcare advocate for my father and someone who handles his appointments, I don’t think this is right. It’s about 35 degrees outside, you have people sitting outside waiting in their cars at your instruction and no explanation as to why your instructions are given via text and email, and because of these instructions he’s late/made to wait longer.
Staff is pleasant I must say except for whoever grabbed him for hit CT. My dads primary language isn’t English and he requested I escort him and she basically told him there’s no need. The secondary scan when he said he would like me to come back the technologist was much more accommodating and respectful and communicated what was occurring. While I understand a CT probably doesn’t require a translator, I’ve never been in a situation as a healthcare professional where I’ve refused that right to a patient.
The only reason I came to this particular location was because the bone scan is only done here, going forward I will be looking for...
Read moreI've been to University Radiology at Cooper in Cherry Hill twice in a two week period. First appt for me (CT and DEXA) and second for my husband (MRI) today. Technicians were great and efficient, but there is a girl with black hair at the front desk that is arrogant and seems to think she knows it all. She's rude to everyone she talks to. She gave me wrong information. Clearly wrong info! That's fine. I probably asked my question to the wrong person. If you don't know, don't give misinformation. She could have been helpful and given me a number to call or something.
This poor elderly couple walked in and they were 10 minutes late. I was 20 minutes early. That girl immediately told them they were late and needed to reschedule. Didn't even try to help them. I felt so bad for this couple. No compassion at all. They had a difficult time communicating. Don't think their first language is English. They were so confused.
I was taken back immediately.
I have a bunch of test in the near future. I think I'll go to a cooper facility. Makes no difference to me, but people that are experiencing health issues don't need someone treating them like she does. A little compassion goes a long way especially for...
Read moreWent for a breast MRI and the staff were nice, but when it was time for me to go through the machine, I was given cheap disposable ear plugs. I asked if they had the headphones with music, which I was offered at the Voorhee’s location and gladly accepted since the machine is so loud, but was told they don’t have them and they apologized.
However, when I got up 25 minutes later, I informed them that the ear plugs didn’t help much and they should talk to someone about getting the headphones. I was then told by a new tech, that they do have the headphones but they don’t give them out because they could fall and I might try to fix them during the screening. This was not my first screening and I know it’s vital to stay still, but to lie and say it wasn’t available was shocking. For someone who doesn’t like being in small spaces for 25 minutes, this is a helpful distraction that makes the experience less nerve racking.
The fact that they lied and I know other Cooper locations do offer headphones, is disappointing and I will not be coming back to this...
